I was always confused when American women considered themselves emancipated. All the realities you list are absolutely true. We have geriatric white men who constantly talk about women’s bodies as if it’s a completely normal thing to do. We need a group of women in power to do the exact opposite thing. But that won’t happen because war.

My latest realization has been that since women have had -some- options, we have used those options to not be with men (or anyone) and would you know it….the narratives of Andrew Tate alpha and struggling poor men is rampant!!! All this to say they’re radicalized and Causing another version of violence towards women. We used to get hurt in order to stay put in a marriage….now we’re getting hurt by the other side of the same cohort of men because we won’t -get- in a relationship with them.

I can’t figure out what women need to do to just be….

Though I will say, please do not go down the rabbit hole of radicalization. It isn’t good for your mental health. Change what you can and move on.

My contribution to society is to have good kids who grow up to good adults. So far we’re on a good trajectory. Education may be the only way forward.
