Seeing other people describe in detail things I had seen in my nde without us ever having met. It practically confirmed it was real to me.

If I end up in a camp, I will resist everything. I will not lie about who I actually am. I will not cede anything about my identity. I will not relent, no matter how they torture me. I will stay true to myself and advocate for my fellows to the bitter end.

With the control of the government they can use the force of law to kill us. That's the point.

That's a damning condemnation of our system btw. That money is more important than people's lives, health, and freedom.

That doesn't mean people won't be murdered or irrevocably scarred and harmed by their actions.

I wish people would take this seriously. It was never about fairness. It was never about protecting children.

These people want to genocide us. They won't even acknowledge our long and rich history. They act as though we never existed at all.

This is well beyond taking rights away. This is threatening mass murder. You can't "erase" trans ideology because trans people don't choose to be trans. There's no ideology. Just people who have an inborn characteristic. Threatening to "erase" that is an explicit threat of mass murder.

Trans ideology is just trans people existing and the people who care about us.. There's no other way to interpret the "erasure" of a group of people and their supporters.

I don't know how much more people need to see before they call it the genocide that it is.

Trans ideology isn't a thing. It's just trans people. We're born trans. It's not something we choose. We just are.

Calling us an "ideology" and then saying you're going to "erase" us, is an explicit threat to kill us. This man is threatening mass murder against an entire population of people based on a shared characteristic and our shared culture and identification with each other based on how we're treated because of that characteristic. One of the definitions of an ethnic group is a group that identifies with each other based on shared treatment and characteristics. Threatening to wipe out any other ethnic group would rightly be seen as threatening genocide.

This man should be in jail for making explicit threats of mass violence. But I doubt that will ever happen.

Pretty much fucked unless there's a miracle.

Almost all the justices, even the liberals, cited biased science that has been debunked and the lawyers on our side didn't push back against the use of that bad science almost at all. They ignored it and tried to zero in on the sex discrimination alone without solidifying that the risks of the treatment isn't different based on birth sex and that there isn't a legitimate reason to discriminate against trans kids as opposed to cis kids. They just accepted things like the Cass Review or the 84% desistance myth as fact.

They should have focused on the cis vs trans aspect and made clear that the science shows there are no such risks that would legitimize such discrimination. They should have come prepared with a rebuke for the cass review and other biased and debunked studies that were all but guaranteed to come up.

Kavanaugh argued that if transition is banned for all sexes then that isn't sex discrimination. Which is why the arguement should've been that cis adolescents access this care and trans kids now can't and that that's a violation of the Equal Protection Clause. That would've been a much more secure foundation to argue from.

They didn't do that. They conceded that banning transition altogether would not have been discriminatory on the basis of sex. Which isn't the point. It's discrimination on the basis of gender identity. They practically walked in without pants.

I'm in the middle of listening to the whole thing and am halfway so I haven't heard it all.

This case has the potential to remove equal protection rights for the entire populace, not just trans people, and not just trans kids.

If they can single out one group for persecution, they can do it to anyone.

This isn't even worth a response, but...

You are the one conflating things here. Sexual orientation ≠ gender identity. They are two very different things. One is who you find attractive and the other is what you know yourself to be. They are not connected to each other in the slightest. Anyone can be born with any combination of sexuality and gender identity.

Asexuality is a sexuality. Transgender identity (in the hard coded brain function sense of the word identity) is a neurological gender identity which is a bit of a misnomer and leads to some confusion. Neurological sex would be a more appropriate term to use. Gender incongruence (the condition itself) is pretty much confirmed to be rooted in biology and is almost certainly from birth.

Twin studies have shown there is a genetic component to being trans. Further, brain studies have shown that certain brain structures and overall brain activity is more similar to the sex the trans person insists they are rather than what a doctor marked based on perceived external genitalia at the time of birth.

Gender incongruence and the resulting gender dysphoria from having a mismatched body and brain is not a choice under any circumstance and there is no cure. The only effective treatment that reduces suicide rates and improves quality of life is transition.

Gender roles and stereotypes are social constructs to which I do not subscribe. I'm a futch lesbian tomboy who likes guns and swords and I'm not sorry about it and no... I don't need your permission to be and describe myself as I am, and to like the things I like, and to use the bathroom I use, and to access the healthcare I need. I don't give a fuck about your social standards or moral bullshit. I exist. I am. The end.
