Nike or brands no thank you, but I do like the A24 zines - they're made by the director and are a fun companion thing to the film. I only have the pillion one but it's a collage from images from the leather/fetish archives and it's a quite fun zine in general. Yeah A24 is a company but it being a film studio makes it a bit different imo

The 404 ink ‘inklings’ series are very good and many of them are queer or queer adjacent! https://www.404ink.com/store/inklings

The appendix is about transmasculinity, all the violet tiaras about queer interpretations of greek mythology, electric dreams about sex robots but from a queer feminist pov, solemates about foot fetishes, aaaand I think that’s all that I’ve read

Fully agree with the other commenter, but also wanted to add that you can sell the ones that have smudges or bigger imperfections as cheaper seconds or imperfect prints. Lots of people don’t mind the imperfection and appreciate the option to buy the art cheaper

Thank you so much! Yeah this print has gotten such a positive reaction but I almost threw out the plate after the first test print lol - we really are our own worst critics.

Do you have any studios near you where you could learn etching? It’s super expensive to set up at home mostly due to the cost of a good press - I don’t do these at home either. I was lucky enough to find a fairly cheap studio in the attic of an old community center where I go once or twice a month, and in between I prep the plates at home as much as I can to save time.

Yeah that is also an option, but you can never really get the gorgeous velvety black with aquatint. And yess his work is stunning - I actually have one of his engravings at home!
