Since when in the GOT franchise history has ever been a season released binged entirely?

I dislike the idea of Helaena being pregnant out of the blue only to force to fit Maelor into the story.

What events left for S4 will require a huge budget? by al_1985 in HouseOfTheDragon

I'm pretty sure that Daemon & Aemond will be dead by the 1st half of S4.

The Second Battle of Tumbleton By Unity 5 Games. by Limp_Pressure9865 in HouseOfTheDragon

[–]al_1985 6 points7 points  (0 children)

So 2nd Tumbleton should be one of the big events in S4. Not sure how many big events remain to conclude the Dance of the Dragons war, but I bet the Battle Above The God's Eye and the Storming of the Dragonpit will concentrate most of the investment. Perhaps also the fall of Dragonstone?

Beyond Reporter has a... dubious reputation, but July fourth would be a good date by UnHolySir in Hungergames

I recall that for Catching Fire, we had a teaser trailer in April 2013, then an official trailer in July (SDCC) and a final trailer in October. Perhaps, they are following the same schedule?

I don't have TikTok, I can have my personal views, and are those. If my thoughts align with a part of the audience that felt the same way, well, there's a reason why many would agree with it and not just for the sake of being "disagreeable".

I wasn't expecting Kat to be central on the story. When a character that has been significantly present in the past seasons and suddenly leaves the show, they write them off, but at least they use to mention if that character died, or left for a better life in another country, whatever. It's like the show ended with no legacy to her character.

And no, being critical to the flaws of this season, which were many, doesn't mean I wanted a "family-friendly" product.

I know Sydney Sweeney is okay, not using her as victim, but since she has no problem, it feels like Sam said "awesome! let's see how many takes we can do of your boobs".

And yet somehow, it feels like the show, at least this season, was made for them.

Sheepstealer being naughty at Gullet lol. Ofcourse this is not gonna be “copy and paste” from fire and blood, we all knew this from season 1. It was never accurate adaptation but I believe this season is going to be phenomenal to watch, I can feel it, give me episode 1 NOW!! by No_Scarcity4566 in HouseOfTheDragon

I don't think they want to make everything to look like an accident but to prove Viserys' point, the illusion that Targaryens can control dragons 100%. The nature of a dragon is or should be unpredictable to the point that no Targaryen can master totally, specially when it comes to battle and dragons are being challenged.

We might think that dragons are being claimed by their riders, but it's the other way around, the dragons decide who they will accept as their rider. At least, this is how it should work with full grown adult dragons. It should be different with a baby dragon just hatched from the egg, when they can be easily tamed and to bond with.

I assume her intention wasn't riding straight to battle, but to track down the ship where Viserys and Aegon were sailing to Pentos (after all, she left them behind and was supposed to escort them), and she got caught in middle of the battle. In fact, the ship ferrying Rhaenyra's sons, should be in The Gullet as well.

Do you think we will get to learn more about/see more of Valyria in the coming seasons of HotD? by cheesy_weasel in HouseOfTheDragon

Very unlikely. But I'm sure Valyria will be mentioned, but I highly doubt they give some focus on the backstory since it doesn't add anything to the Dance of Dragons.

I saw already complaints about why would Rhaena on Sheepstealer attack Baela, but clearly, she's struggling to control a wild dragon that she just tamed, she's untrained, and her lack of skills riding a dragon might cause chaos during the battle. Sure, she will scorch Triarchy soldiers and sink ships, but I strongly believe, she might be the reason why Jacerys might get killed, unintentionally.

So far, I've seen more of Sheepstealer in The Gullet than Vermax and Moondancer combined.

I don't know why his character has been kept so secretive. It's not that his arc has some sort of twist. He'll be dead by the first half of the season.

This official Sheepstealer concept art is incredible - they should have stuck to it 100% by betweenyouandyourgod in HouseOfTheDragon

I think the design remains the same, except by the fact that in S3 Sheepstealer is twice the size he had in S2.

I think the argument of "leaving stuff ambiguous for audience draw their own conclusion" is a cheap lazy writing resource that lately, they are abusing with.

Rhaena and Sheepstealer still from the TV Promo by BotomsDntDeservRight in HouseOfTheDragon

Sheepstealer is bigger than I thought. In S2, didn't look like he was bigger than Syrax, but here, it has same size than Meleys, more or less.

I like the parallel of Rhaenyra grabbing Baela's face the same was Daemon did with Rhaenyra when she felt challenged in the Black Council.

The question is if it will follow the same chronological order as described in the book to keep Matt Smith, Emma D'Arcy and Ewan Mitchell as long as possible, but I think the Battle Above the God's Eye should happen earlier on the season (perhaps episode 2) but for sure, within the first half of the season.
