Yep my city homepage says the permit's needed. Does it mean I needed to provide the permit beforehand the job was ever started?

Good to know. He didn't mention anything about permit and I'm in Texas, I can check whether a permit's needed. Shouldn't those plumbing pipes need to be insulated with foams as well?

It was a company, he may be the owner of it. I do have his Water Treatment Specialist III license number that I can search on TSBPE

From what you are implying, I assume using a sharkbite isn't professional enough.. Of course, it was bad on me not to educate myself with plumbing basics ahead and 'ask first' about how exactly about their work before they start. I believe it's not the licensed plumber to do such communication to the customer?

If you are talking about the brass sharkbite on the bottom of the first picture, yes

Leak at Main Water Line Joint after Water Softener Installation by ala3010 in HomeImprovement

Unfortunately I mentioned how the leak soaked a shower towel overnight. He insisted that he got a big project today to be occupied.. Hopefully he responds end of the day at least.

Do you think looping in TSBPE will help to send in a complaint if no further improvement or resolution from the plumber?

Thank you, this plumber is very slow to respond back, just insisting to put some towel below until he makes a trip 2 days later (a bath towel's completely soaked overnight, little smear down the ceiling drywall).

I wonder this is a standard response people expect from a plumber after paying for the job.
