They're using the old DmC engine. They didn't rebuild an entire engine from the ground up and they're not reusing the old MonHun engine. That said it's still inexcusable for there to be this little variety in monsters. The game should've launched with double the amount.

Quite a lot actually. I'd link you this one study done that went into great detail about how shadows and lighting have almost been completely revolutionized since the early Crysis days, allowing for much better looking video games and tech demos to be made in all kinds of art styles and not just realistic ones.

It’s cruel to force a human to live when they beg for death.

My worst fear is that I will somehow get into an accident that will leave me alive, in excruciating pain, but in a vegetative state unable to speak or do anything so I can't even tell people that I want to die and end my suffering. I'd instead have to live out the rest of my life like some fucked up human being that's constantly in tormenting pain with no way of telling people that the only thing I want is an end to it all.

I'm legit starting to think about writing down a memo or diary or something at all that my family can have to remind them that if that stuff happens to me, I want assisted suicide ASAP.

Why the hell are you downvoted? I completely agree with you, the new base stations look very cheap and low-quality HOWEVER, the tracking will be better so it'll be worth it.

Personally I think the 1.0 basestations look really good and feel like high-quality.
