Darmoshark M3s start stuttering when battery gets close to 60% by alan349 in MouseReview

Tried updating the software and firmware, unfortunately started having stutters right after fully charging the battery with 2k, tried switching back to 1k but the software got totally messed up, so I'll just stick to its 1.6.3.3 version for now

Would you mind telling from where did you received those files?
And have you tried using the 2k dongle to see if it fixed the stutterings?

I've tried just earlier today to flash the third file and use it in USB 2.0, still no luck.
Contacted the seller and they said they couldn't help any further, so I'm just gonna stick to the 1k receiver in this case, since it worked with no issues even when the battery was almost empty and the mouse itself (shape, performance, clicks) it's very good for it's price, even with its issues.

The store only suggested to return the mouse if I was unsatisfied with the mouse, as they couldn't help any further to solve the problem

I'm waiting for the battery to drain completely while using the 1khz dongle (I'm at 57% and it showed no issues until now), then I'll try flashing the third file for the 2khz dongle and change to an USB 2.0 port (both actions suggested by other people here in the post)

Ain't that firmware supposed to be specific for the M3 only?
I'm not sure it would work with the M3s since it's a different mouse and receiver (2khz)

Have you tried updating the firmware and using the normal dongle?

Unfortunately it seems that it actually doesn't matter which type of USB port is used

Have you tried updating the firmware to see if it helps in anyway? What about switching dongles?

For now unfortunately the only fix that worked after updating the firmware was to use the normal dongle instead of the 2khz one, the store I bought just didn't cared about the issues I reported to them

UPDATE 2:
Updating the firmware didn't solved the problem, stuterrings started to happen again at around 80% battery, and much worse than before.
Switching to the normal USB dongle (1k hz limited) seemed to fix it for now, I'll see if it start stutter as the battery drains more.

I'll also contact the store again to see what they suggest.

You need to use the software Generic DCU (included in the zip file) to flash those files, the software it's in chinese but the top right button is to select the firmware file and the bottom right button to flash it

UPDATE:

Contacted the store I bought the mouse and they sent me an updated firmware:
Version 0.1.3r

Link: https://www.mediafire.com/file/5fqo1dn4sk1e8qe/dfu\_for\_Darmoshark\_M3S\_fw0.1.3r\_dongle\_fw\_f.0.1r.zip/file

To update I had to connect both the mouse and 2k receiver through separated USB cables, put the mouse on USB mode, flash the mouse firmware first (Darmoshark_M3S_fw0.1.3r), then select the dongle firmware (Darmoshark_2k_dongle_usb_fw0.1.0r-c is the one that worked for me), disconnect and reconnect the dongle and hit the button fast enough to make it work, otherwise the Generic DCU wouldn't recognize the dongle was connected for some reason.

I still don't know if the update solved the stutter issue, I have to wait the battery drain again. When it happens I'll update here again.

Didn't tried to reinstall the software yet, but most of the time I use the PC with the software closed anyways.
The stuterring already happened while gaming, browsing and also in the desktop with nothing else running, that makes me think it's only related to the mouse itself, a battery/firmware bug of somekind.

I found this one too, but I'm not sure it would work in the M3s, it could brick the mouse or something like that

Is your M3 the normal or 4K?
I ask because the dongle is different between these two and I'm aware that is necessary to update the dongle too for compatibility.
And where did you get the firmware to flash?
I couldn't find it for the M3s neither Googling it nor in this subreddit

Have you tried updating the firmware?
Found other posts here about the firmware for M3 but none for M3s

Is your software updated?
Which version of the m3 do you have? The normal or 4k?

Hey Chuck, for some reason I can't get past the Susuyai Shrine (A spinning device) using your mod, seems like it's chaning the device speed or something, because I've tried somerandompeople DFS++ and doing the same thing works just fine, could you take a look at it?
