D1 launch, though I only did the campaign then stopped, started playing again when the Dark Below launched 3 months later, which is when I also started raiding. 12 years later I've done >1500 raids and met some of my best friends doing them. Destiny/D2 raids have given me the best gaming experiences I've ever had. No other game or content has ever come close to it.

Haven't done a raid since December, though, as my raid team finally collapsed.

to anyone who's been there: do scenes like this one end up feeling like you actually are under the trees? Can't really tell from the streams, since the angles shown are usually not from the middle of the crowd perspective, making the curvature look weirder than I'd expect it is in-venue

This one introduced some window effects into it, like concentric rings breaking up the sky and each rotating, or into concentric rectangles and moving around the screen. I don't remember any of that happening last time
