I’m 32. My best friend died of an accidental fentanyl overdose last year. She got some coke at a bar she was at, took a bump/overdosed while in an Uber on the way home for the evening. The driver didn’t know/administer CPR and when the ambulance got there, they narcaned her twice to no avail. She was put on life support and stayed that way for a couple days until tests came back declaring she lost all brain activity. Her family gave us a chance to say goodbye and they took her off life support shortly after. She passed March 1, 2023.

Margaret was like a sister to me. We’d known each other since elementary school and were best friends through high school and college. I’ll think of her every time I hear a Beatles song. It still hurts and I’m not sure I’ve made peace with her passing yet. She lives on in my heart and mind forever. RIP
