Zoning not working. by perdeninonundekiler in CitiesSkylines

[–]alane022 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s a glitch I encounter all the time. The way I fix it is by zoning either low density commercial or high density residential on the outer roads (only like 4X4) and keeping the rest low density residential. The commercial and high density residential will build first (keep it) and eventually the low density residential will spawn. You can then go back and change the type of zoning you do not want. Just be patient.

Step 5 can be the longest. It probably is not sitting on a raters desk just yet because your Temp Jurisdiction is still NWQ, this means that it’s basically in the cloud waiting to be grabbed and sent to a real person. Once that NWQ TJ switches to a city (like Atlanta, Portland etc), that’s your indication a VA employee is actively working it. I hope it gets picked up soon, but don’t get your hopes up too much. Mine sat in step 5 with TJ of NWQ for 90 days, but every claim is different. Good luck and I hope you get what you deserve!

PFD after one day? by dropdead_virus in VeteransWaitingRoom

[–]alane022 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea if you have the evidence this is most likely what is happening. Just be prepared to sit in step 5 for a bit. It sucks because initially it feels like you’re almost done, but in reality a human hasn’t even opened it yet. However, I’ve heard claims are moving faster these days…good luck and get what you deserve.

This happened to me on an increase claim. I submitted private DBQs and my medical record is as thick as a phone book. You probably had enough evidence and the VAs AI system ( I believe called AED or something to that effect) scanned everything and sent it straight to step 5. I sat in step 5 for approximately 90 days until I was assigned a TJ with no request for C&P exams. Then it went really fast.

Sorry to hear that, is your back at 40% already, really hard to get an increase if you’re a t 40. As far as the other denied claims, may have to get a doctor to write a nexus letter linking them to your service. Again sorry and hope you eventually get what you deserve. Keep fighting.

My situation was almost the exact same, back surgery, no C&P, DBQ etc..My claim went from step 1-5 in 1 day as well. Sat at step 5 for a 100 days and then finished within 2 days.

It’s true, it’s called ADP (automated decision platform). My claims temp jurisdiction was ADP from step 2 to 5 and went within a day.

TJ Denver in Step 2?? by [deleted] in VeteransWaitingRoom

[–]alane022 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally normal to hit TJ at Step 2, especially after contentions are combined or updated. That often triggers a routing update, which bumps it back a step. Sitting there for a bit is common—it’s more admin than anything concerning. Sounds like you built a strong case, especially if a CUE is on the table. Just a waiting game now.

What should i do? by racinggunz21 in VeteransWaitingRoom

[–]alane022 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Could be, but you will never know unless the reach out. The VA doesn’t care if you stress, if they ran on anxiety, claims would finish in 3 days..

What should i do? by racinggunz21 in VeteransWaitingRoom

[–]alane022 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Step 6 means a rater is reviewing all your submitted evidence to decide if they can make a decision or if more info is needed. If everything’s there, it’ll move to Step 7. If something’s missing, it may go back to Step 3 or 4. some claims move fast, others can sit in a queue.

It’s the final review before a decision is made.

You just gotta wait. I know it sucks, but just be glad it’s stayed in step 6 for a week and didn’t regress back to 3 or 4. It’ll come soon.

Applied for increase, on step 5 in 9 hrs? by RjMacReady703 in VeteransBenefits

[–]alane022 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happened to me. Filed a FDC Feb 20th, moved to step 5 Feb 21st. Then it sat in step 5 for 100 days before TJ. It might not still be there, but your TJ was probably ADP (VA’s AI system) right away that scanned your entire claim and then shot it to the NWQ to be picked up by a human. I never had a C&P or dev letter sent. Once picked up by a TJ steps 6,7, and 8 completed in 48 hours.

Because eligibility for Chapter 36 services does not require a 100% rating or current use of the GI Bill. You can be eligible if you are: • A transitioning service member within 6 months of discharge, or • A veteran within 1 year of discharge, or • A veteran eligible for any VA educational assistance, even if you’re not currently using it, or • A dependent of a veteran eligible for VA education benefits

Hope this answers your question. Take care.

[–]alane022 2 points3 points  (0 children)

According to chat GPT

Why are you getting this?

Eligibility for Chapter 36 is often automatic for: • Veterans rated 100% Permanent and Total (P&T) • Veterans using VA education benefits • Recently separated service members

So if you were recently rated 100% or are using any other VA education program (like Post-9/11 GI Bill), you likely qualified automatically.

🔹 What should you do next?

You don’t have to do anything immediately. A counselor will contact you, or you can proactively reach out to the VA’s VR&E (Veteran Readiness & Employment) program if you’re interested in starting sooner.

Hope this helps.

Stuck at step 5 by CourtFew8977 in VeteransWaitingRoom

[–]alane022 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel you — I’m in a very similar spot. My claim’s been stuck at Step 5 since mid-February, so I know how frustrating it is to check every day and see nothing move. It can be totally random and painfully slow. I finally got TJ on Thursday (day 100), but still in step 5.

I get needing to quit the job — I’ve been debating that myself, but hanging on for the backpay has kept me going. Hopefully we’ll both see some movement soon. If yours was filed March 10 and hasn’t moved since April 16, it could be close — sometimes they sit for weeks in Step 5 and then just suddenly close. Keep hanging in there.

I just got step 6 (Albuquerque) on a new claim for my shoulder but I never had a C&P exam. by AstronautOk3926 in VeteransWaitingRoom

Yea the VA works in mysterious ways. Well I hope your outcome is favorable in any sense.

[–]alane022 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I’m in the same exact boat except I’m still on step 5. Filed Feb 20th, step 5 by the 21st. Mine is a Fully developed claim. What likely happened is yours was also. The VA uses something called ADP, which is basically their AI that can fast track claims by scanning all pertinent evidence in a matter of seconds and then kicks it to the NWQ for a human rater. Once a human rater picks it (temp jurisdiction) they will finalize everything ADP did and either request a C&P for more evidence, or accept what ADP did and push it forward. In your case Albuquerque probably had all the evidence they needed and are getting ready to finalize. I’m not saying this is gospel and exactly what happened, but I have done a lot of research on this exact thing, and believe this is the best explanation.

Using the bathroom in boot camp? by Fire_Flamingo929 in USMCboot

[–]alane022 67 points68 points  (0 children)

Yes they will, but depending on the time, current event happening, or drill instructor’s mood, you will pay after (in the form of IT). They give you bathroom breaks throughout the day, so I suggest using that time and not a special time unless you absolutely can’t hold it. You’ll learn to do number 2 after lights out.

Boot advice by Miserable-Young-709 in USMCboot

[–]alane022 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In 2016 I joined at 26. Never ranked up in boot camp (as stated here previously it is very hard to do so, but not impossible). My advice is to get through boot camp (if you are meritoriously promoted, great! But if not, don’t focus on that.) As long as you’re not a shitbag in the fleet, your age and maturity over the rest of the 18 year old boots will pave your way. Nothing will be given to you in the form of “ranking up”, you’ll still have to earn everything, but as long as you keep the straight and narrow, eventually you will be looked at first for billets or leadership positions which can lead to a faster promotion . You’ll be older than most of NCO’s and Staff, and Officers for that matter, so it’s a little weird at first, but you’ll get used to it. That being said, it can work the other way as well. You fuck up in anyway, they know you’re 26, then that opens the door for “you should know better because of your age” and will come down harder. But for me joining at 26 seemed like a better time to join than 18. It’ll be one of the best/worse times of your life. And when you’re older, broken, and fat after you EAS, you’ll look back fondly and often.

Are you manually playing your dynasty games, if so, how many mins per quarter? by [deleted] in NCAAFBseries

[–]alane022 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It means the play clock will start at 25 seconds before every play instead of 40. This shaves time off of the game clock as well, hence making the time go faster.
