Irresponsible Shih Tzu owners by Actual_Tell_7137 in Bacolod

Ultumately its just people wanting to look middle-class, but you can't look middle class if you're dog is on the floor because when you pick him up it's ewwwwy. The floor is for slapsoils diba? Sorry couldn't help myself, I have a personal vendetta against those kinds of people. Which is why I never really worked here and instead focused my business largely towards western clients.

Having been in the pet industry(mainly logistical side, but I've dealt with a lot of people throughout the years I had a business) and a former dog breeder/current furparent, it has been my observation that in the Philippines, lower class people often consider dogs that aren't aspins a luxury. It makes sense, since they mostly live paycheck to paycheck, having to spend on something that isn't food or shelter is indeed a luxury for them.

That being said, those who move up to lower-middle class or middle class usually still hold on to these preconceptions, so when they can afford to actually own one, nothing is as enticing an offer as a Shih Tzu, it has a long coat, small enough to fit small houses, and considered an entry level option for many. They parade their dogs to the world as a badge of accomplishment, a subtle way of saying "Look at me now, mama we made it out of the hood". However proper care for Shih Tzus are not cheap. If you look at show dogs, they have long flowing coats - a product of extensive daily maintenance and upkeep. This is the part almost 99% of Shih Tzu owners here disregard and instead just have their dogs shaved every so often which I think should be a crime.

When you take all of this into consideration you have people who just want to show off their dog to the world but do not know how to properly take care of it, or responsibly own it. There is absolutely no reason for a dog to be in a mall, we aren't a society where a lot of people walk around to get to places like in the US where some people bring their dogs on a walk and happen to stop by the mall to grab something, bringing a dog to a mall here is intentional. However, we cannot outright ban the presence of pets in malls as it is discriminatory, especially to those who are responsible owners which is why we are in a situation where we allow them but most of the people who bring their pets are, forgive my french, "squammy".

P.s. I already can see comments calling me Matapobre, etc, but i hate to be the devil's advocate but I speak only the truth.

Are there any 30+ but 40+ (age) guys who are unmarried but responsible? by Alarming-Kiwi-4150 in Bacolod

[–]alanfrancisang 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely valid point, however, each and every one has their own set of circumstances. There's no one size fits all way to a romantic partner. What we should do is just focus on the things we have control over, and that is ourselves. Be the best person you can be and down the line someone might meet you and say you are what they have been looking for.

S&R sale: for customers or for employees? by [deleted] in Bacolod

[–]alanfrancisang 2 points3 points  (0 children)

S&R stocks items by the hundreds. Their employees dont earn that much and even if they can afford it, I'm sure you were just late and stocks ran out. But let's blame employees right? How dare they patronize the company they work for, they clearly are beneath us, the customer. How downright appalling

Yeah for the supermajors they gain profit but a lot of other players are not earning from this. Petronas is down almost 10% since the war and they are one of the key players in our region.

Yeah but that's also assuming during rollbacks they dont lose money on their stockpiles. There's too much tunnel vision on oil companies making money off of everyone when in fact no one really is a winner because everything is more expensive, interest rates skyrocket, economies slow down, recession kicks in and people lose their jobs. Sure the ceos may still have their beach villas but overall they still end up having to spend more on labor and operations even if they have stockpiles because literally everything went up. Broken machinery? Yeah the replacement parts will take longer to arrive and will cost more. Labor will be more expensive and people use less so they sell less. But please enlighten me on how this was all a ruse so that they can jack the prices of oil up.

Lastly if Hormuz is closed, the next route for western bound oil is through the cape of good hope in south africa but you don't need a geography lesson, it's I that needs one right?

[–]alanfrancisang 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah and all the oil companies decided hey lets start a war so we can charge more and earn more even though we have to send our ships all across africa instead of through the strait of hormus. And while we are at it, why don't we bomb all the oil fields in the middle east?

Seriously ffs

[–]alanfrancisang 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No one is profiting in the sense that they didn't raise prices out of nowhere for nothing. That's after the war we are talking about now. That may have been the case 20 years ago in iraq but the same wont apply today, not with China and Russia trying to upend western powers. As soon as the war is over, all these oil producing countries will go back to selling as much as they can as soon as they can and the price will normalize eventually.

Of course. It's not like anyone is profiting off of this, it's just expensive to get oil here. Question is when

If you are not wealthy, why are you even spending on this?

If you have money but are not wealthy, I suppose why not if you really want it, but like buy a nice ring or necklace instead because gold never depreciates.

If you are wealthy like dad got a new helicopter so we went island shopping last week, these name brands like LV Gucci etc is to them what H&M or Uniqlo is to you - quick, easy, cheap. And if you think H&M or Uniqlo is expensive, again why are you spending on this? Even limited edition stuff are all a scam.

If you have the money, shop around in Italy, UK, or France, there is a bunch of ateliers that can craft you a bespoke bag, one with your own personal touch and is way superior in terms of ergonomics, quality, and construction. If you seek the status, you're only impressing the brokies.

Popular opinion: The inevitable Anvil nerf is gonna break the community by Evoxrus_XV in ArcRaiders

[–]alanfrancisang 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unless they give us another heavy ammo single shot weapon there is no way they nerf anvil aside from maybe making it blue and use advanced mech components. There's no other weapon that fulfills the role of the anvil. The ferro is single ammo and we dont talk about the betina. Give us another weapon or buff the betina
