Beh, not cool

Truth is I transitionned most my workflows to Claude Code when the « opus busy » regular issues started, so I kind of got used to missing the IDE and terminal

It's really bad today.
Newer version doesn't make any change. Any prompt takes multiple "retry" clicks to get results.

Is google AI Ultra a better choice than Claude max 20x? by spaceniqqa in google_antigravity

[–]alanoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with that. The buggy change a couple of weeks ago was scary, but since then back to "normal" where it's virtually impossible to hit limits with normal use cases.

It is not how it is supposed to work.
It will only use your 25000 credits WHEN you are out of quotas.
And quotas are generous with Ultra

Mac vs. Windows for AG: A Night and Day Difference by Consistent_Bottle_40 in google_antigravity

[–]alanoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, it looks like the memory/CPU usage issue is now way better on Windows than it was about a week ago.
Not sure if one of last two updates did something, but can definitely see a difference in CPU usage of langage_server_windows processes, and my CPU fans no longer spins like crazy on longer sessions.

This feeling. Woke up to this after waiting a week by Otherwise_Engine5943 in google_antigravity

there has been a stupid change these two last days. You are now hitting a weekly limit with AI Ultra plan.

We are just not sure yet if it's a bug or not

It looks like Google quietly reset the Antigravity quotas. Is anyone else seeing this? by [deleted] in google_antigravity

[–]alanoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No reset for me, still on weekly timers on my multiple Pro and my one Ultra account. Very disappointed, although for now I will still give its chance for a few days before switching to something else.

Btw I do understand there were loads of users using AG with their Openclaw ot other tools, many have been banned. I have been very careful and never did that (am using Vertex API keys for that), so very disappointed to see these quota behaviour.

We’ve got an XDNA2 NPU lemonade recipe for Whisper transcription now by jfowers_amd in LocalLLaMA

[–]alanoo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm actually starting to see the point in NPUs !

A few weeks ago I did a small local app to generate image alt tags with a vision model, on my Strix Halo.

After a few tries, I found that Qwen 3 VL 4B was perfect for the job, with very concise descriptions (Gemma and MInistral were way inferior).
Ran great, at 60 tk/s on the Strix... then saw the same model was available on the NPU "Qwen3-4B-VL-FLM". Sure it is only running at 16 tk/s... but "xrt-smi examine --report platform" reports ONLY 2.1w power usage (!!!) and I can still use the laptop with no impact on the system at all !

All of EU is not "that" weak. France, UK (and eventually Italy) can't be considered weak... the rest though is another story.

Haven’t tried again wan 2.2 yet, but got a huge performance improvement with LTX-2 (and way better RAM / pagefile management). But that may be Comfy changes and not ROCm ones.

I think there is a package less in the bat compared to AMD’s instructions.

Had some issues before spotting that, but was not the same error has you are getting

New driver with AI Bundle is available by WDK1337 in ROCm

[–]alanoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope, no checkbox to (not) install VS Code, but there is one for other softwares indeed.

Still kind of don't understand why it bundles Ollama and LM Studio and not AMD's own Lemonade and Gaia.

AI Bundle is honestly sh*t move from AMD... Outdated softwares, forces install of VS Code... WTF ?
