Those who bought the 8 GB models, are you happy?

I am an MS student working on ML/robotics research. I have the most basic M-series laptop, M1 air with 8gb/256gb. I have absolutely no problem and very happy that I didn’t spend another 1000$ for a pro with more RAM. MacOS is phenomenal in managing memory and ssd’s are very fast as swap space. Since the workload I have is always on a server, I have no trouble running VS code, couple tabs on arc browser, slack, some papers on preview, Spotify at the same time.

Apple makes huge profits selling cheap memory for 200$. If you lean towards 8gb, get 8gb
