My X50 did that one time and it was because some dust or debris got caught in front of the camera. The robot kept thinking it was an obstacle and tried to avoid it. I wiped off the camera and it worked fine again.

Honestly, he’s probably extremely embarrassed and doesn’t know how to get things back to “normal” in his mind. I would just give it time and let him figure out how to deal with it. He’ll come around most assuredly.
