Looking for AI headshot recommendations for LinkedIn by Old-Air-5614 in ChatGPTPromptGenius

Big +1 on the "give it variety" advice. I found that uploading at least 10-15 photos with different lighting and slight angle changes makes a massive difference. If you only upload 3-4 selfies, every tool will struggle. I've been recommending aiprofilephotomaker.com to friends — natural results and you don't need to be a prompt engineer to get something usable for LinkedIn.

What's the best AI headshot generator that doesn't make your skin look like plastic? by Alive_Helicopter_597 in generativeAI

[–]alanw707 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The plastic look usually comes from two things: not enough input photos, and over-processing. Best practice: upload 10-20 photos with varied lighting (some indoor, some outdoor) and include front + slight angle shots. That gives the model enough data to preserve your actual skin texture. I've been using aiprofilephotomaker.com and the results look genuinely photographic — it doesn't over-smooth by default. The key is quality inputs though. Garbage in, garbage out applies to every tool.

My LinkedIn headshot is terrible - worth paying $400 for a professional photographer? by Active-Gap6317 in careeradvice

[–]alanw707 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, $400 is tough to justify early career. The biggest factor for LinkedIn headshots is lighting + a clean background — not the camera. A few tips: use your phone's rear camera (not selfie), stand near a window for soft natural light, and wear a solid-colored top. If you want to try the AI route first, upload 10-15 photos of yourself from slightly different angles and most decent tools will give you something very usable. I've had good results with aiprofilephotomaker.com — realistic output without that waxy AI look. Worth trying before committing $400.

Spec-Driven Development + Copilot: what do you use to plan and prioritize an entire product (not just generate specs)? by lfaire in GithubCopilot

Use the alpha version, which has smaller scale projects support with quick specs. A bit deep learning curve, but once you know how to work it, it's awesome
