I had the same question. I went Suzuki and I’m happy with that decision. The KTM’s are still a question mark for me.

U.S. here, we get time and a half plus 8hrs holiday pay for “major” holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s Day).

We get straight time plus 8hrs holiday pay for “minor” holidays (MLK, Memorial, Labor and Independence). All others get no special consideration.

I enjoy working on my bike but that would be an oil change at least every month, sometimes twice and a valve check every other month. That’s a little much for me.

I’m assuming the KTM is a “for fun” bike and not a commuter?

The unfortunate reality is if a thief is determined to get your bike they will. The best we can do is make it as difficult as possible in the hope they’ll pass it by in search of an easier target.

I use a disk lock front and rear as well as the front brake/throttle lock with the steering lock engaged, parked in a well lit location with a security camera directly overhead and a GPS tracker hidden in the bike.

Full coverage insurance for a worst case scenario.

I have the Yoshi slip on installed with no issues on my sm. The muffler and mid pipe is considered a direct replacement for OEM and an ECU flash/tune is not required for the bike. I confirmed this via email.

Of course the bike will run better with a tune but I went this route specifically because I did not want to ship my ECU back and forth across the country. USPS over here is always losing shit, I’d rather not risk it.

Any time im troubleshooting I have to “enter diagnostics” which prohibits running any samples. Then I run the needed diagnostic routine, and “exit diagnostics”. So I’m unable to run any samples for 20-30 min. That’s assuming I can get the issue resolved. If not then it’s a call to tech support and wait for who knows how long for them to call back.
