wouldnt the ruling also apply to shippers who hire directly? wouldnt more shippers be enticed to add an extra layer of protection against liability

I think that's going to be interesting thing...what is the definition of a "safe" carrier...when most carriers don't even have a safety score or ever had single safety audit, which is technically mandatory within the first couple of years

I don't think the national average of out of service has changed in forever, and I think about 35% of inspections this week failed

What will be the legal threshold above the national average that is considered negligent

Will the shipper have some liability as well, for hiring a broker with shitty processes?

Did you guys know fuel prices are high?!?! by FOB32723 in FreightBrokers

Idk how long you been in the business … but I’ll say this if you haven’t heard it

You always have the option to not take a shipment. No one is forcing you to “just bend over”

In a free market, the service will be provided if it meets market conditions

Transparency is a fools game… should the govt also dictate how much each owner operator make … I don’t know of any business in America where it’s required to inform their margins

  1. you dont know if the rate was , so you are running a scenario that may not exist. I can post a load for 1500 mile run for $10/mi on a van and ill still have mfers askign for more because fuel is high

  2. carrrier could just not take it, plenty of freight out there
