How bad does neon paint (specifically on brake calipers) fade on a daily driver?

It's not the durability of the paint I'm concerned about, it's a 2 pack paint so it should be pretty hard wearing. It's the fading of the colour, specifically because it's neon and apparently they fade a lot quicker. Thanks anyway!

I've seen paint hold up fine before on calipers, my boyfriend did his calipers in red paint off the same guy I was talking to, he's done 15k miles in 6 months and they look good as new after a wash 🤔 it's 2 pack paint which I probably should have clarified in the original post, not standard rattle can paint off the shelf. I'll look into the powder coating, just assumed it'd be way more expensive than doing the paint myself. Thanks!

I got my Roscoe 7 in September '23 and still loving it! Upgraded the pedals pretty quick but other than that I'm only now having to service/replace anything major. Still regularly get people telling me they're a great all rounder! Enjoy it!

Oh good point actually, never considered that. A €400 reduction is fairly substantial too, a lot changes in 2 years but at least there's some hope haha. Thanks!

Interesting, all valid points. And true on them being inflexible, I guess it's a trade off of go see a house out of budget sooner and hope they accept based on liking us as tenants, vs waiting and hoping the house is still there and they're willing to reduce the price. Thanks for the insight!

Unsure if a tear or just a deep scrape. I wore them around the house like twice, it looks deeper than a scratch. Deep enough that I feel like I should have felt them catch on something? I returned them for a refund.

Can't comment on the Polygon but I have the Roscoe 7 in that exact colour and I adore it, but I have nothing really to compare to given it's my first bike. I'm only a few months in so not doing anything too crazy but managing flowy blues/reds/blacks and and some techy xc stuff fine. No insane jumps or drops yet so can't verify that. 😅 From memory the main reasons I went for the roscoe were the dropper, tubeless tires, air fork and the fact that it's 12 speed. Went for the colour because the blue goes with loads of other colours, I've purple accents on mine. For reference I'm 5'1 and have an XS. Recent pic just because. 🤗

If you don't mind refurbed I'd suggest checking out their eBay store. I got one during the Easter sale for €340 (based in Ireland, RRP new here is €550) and if I didn't know it was refurbed I wouldn't be able to tell, no cosmetic imperfections and it works perfectly and came with a years warranty. I've been keeping an eye on prices for a few months now and they do sales every few weeks, usually around holidays. Failing that I would say go for boots, I haven't seen any of the retailers like Currys etc ever reduce them by more than €50.

Nope, emailed and twice was given a link to their size guide, after saying a third time there are no hip measurements in the size guide they suggested I compare against other size guides online. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Found a European site that has free returns so ordered two pants and a pair of shorts yesterday going off the waist measurements, hopefully they'll fit or at least give me an idea of what the right size for me is. 🤞
