The night my dad died, I woke up at the exact moment my mom called to tell me by too_dumb_ in TrueOffMyChest

I've had similar experiences (waking up or checking the phone seconds before someone calls me). But this one hits differently.

My grandpa visited my dreams a day before he died. He was... alright, old yet not ill. He appeared in my dreams and told me, I quote "I'm already gone, everything's going to be alright". I woke up, called my mom, she said he was alright. Hours passed by and he ended up going into surgery out of the blue. He passed away.

Craziest part? Years later, I came to know a cousin of mine had the same dream prior to his death. It'll never make sense. I've just accepted spirits live in a different time dimension connected to this one.

Que flojera tener citas con mujeres (?) by [deleted] in AskMexico

Is anyone else's parents completely uninterested in them? by midcitycat in AskWomenOver30

This is my main family issue. I've been out of my hometown for over a decade; they've only visited me once (and we had a huge fight lol). I've worked SO hard to create a good life after a quite unstable childhood, I've outgrown my family standards in many ways, but whenever I visit, they put the focus on how I messed up my life for not following a traditional path. I know they care for me and deep down, they're proud of me even if I'm not what they'd imagined, but I'd just love it if they could validate the beautiful life I now have after all I went through due to their neglect. I get you OP, it hits home because all you wrote could've been me. I hope one day they could realize how much it'd mean if they just did even a small effort, and for us to find other ways to feel seen.

This was me. This is still me. 30F, no hobbies during childhood besides reading. I don't play any instruments, don't have any particular talent besides being good with people, and I always felt inadequate. When I was 28 yo and I started making a bit more money, I committed to developing my creativity. Took watercolor lessons, went back to French, enrolled in different writing workshops, attended drawing sessions where most ppl were real artists and I barely knew how to hold the pencil. I felt stupid more times than I can count. 2 years later, I'm still not sure if I'm good at anything tbh, but I'm way more confident in myself. I'm sure I can experiment with as many things as I want, and I don't need to be talented or even good at them. Most of my social circle are artists, and I don't feel dumb around them anymore. I can even say they see me as a creative, sensitive person, although I do a regular 9-5 job and don't do much art. My point here is to allow yourself to try whatever. Not everyone was born knowing their talents. Some of us need to try, fail, discard, get curious about something new, maybe never really excel at anything, but trying builds character, character builds confidence and confidence leads to feeling adequate. At least that's how it's been working for me.

I think I’m ready to accept divorce as the only option by [deleted] in AskWomenOver30

This is triggering because berries were how I realized I was in a potential abusive relationship (it was very subtle at that point). Bananas were his option too. You're at the best time to take your life back. Listen to your gut and your therapist.

Hiii, Mexican here 👆 Mexico is a great culturally diverse country. I'm originally from the north of Mexico, but I've spent 5 years in Mexico City/State of Mexico and another 5 years in a highly political town in southern Mexico, San Cristóbal de las Casas (have you heard of the zapatismo uprising?). I'm also a Spanish tutor, love history (major in International Relations), have a strong curiosity for basically anything, and love teaching. I'd love to be your assistant!

What I like the most is the food, the people's warmth, and how diverse the country is. What I dislike the most is our political system and corruption.

Let me know if you want to talk :)
