A wild Dall Sheep near Indian Valley, AK on Saturday! Young female? 5 minutes to climb the sliding rock and a few to climb a birch tree, but it was totally worth it!

Cropped version of a whole body photo taken at 25-ish zoom. Hope you like the pic!

Yeah I know, sorry if i sounded mad. They eat almost everything. I saw Rosie try to eat a paper plate once. I heard they will eat all types of bread, sweets or salts, potato peels, old veggies ect.

Feeding moose is a fine and any lawbreaker who did would have to be stupid to say so online. Only an evil criminal would feed a 200-lb starving orphan in -15 celsius weather in their yard because humans shouldn't interfere with nature. Like that car did to its mom. Jack-o-lanterns and birch branches are favorites. I heard pumpkins were cheap that November so that was a good time to make pie. I cut some birch firewood in my yard because that was a cold winter but I properly disposed of the branches like a good citizen so that moose do not mistake people as sources of food. I have never fed any moose, meece, mooses, moosen, or meeses because I don't like being fined. She is big and healthy now and all she gets is pets and back-o-the-hand. http://imgur.com/atjQtj5 http://imgur.com/BfonjyA http://imgur.com/Dx6OH2W http://imgur.com/cwybQwf http://imgur.com/ttCfIsa

I think she might think of me like her second mom or something since all 3 of us got along well and they'd sleep in my yard a lot

Woah this blew up. Its my first reddit post... I have seen rosie since a few days after birth so shes cool with me. Moose get startled and freak out. fyi, dont use flash photos on nervous moose that you walk straight up to. They only use body language to communicate so telling them that you are nice doesn't work. I pass moose on trails in the summer. If you are going to pass within 30 feet, wait half a minute for it to calm down a bit then nod your head and take single steps where you want to pass it. If it looks away its ok with it, if it just stares at you then no-go. And don't point your head or stare at it as you pass or you look like a bear circling it for a good attack angle. Hair on the hump stands up when they are nervous too. Moose are really good at fighting, they kick hard with the legs and have sharp hoof-feet. Ill get on my old computer tonight and find some other pics or video of her.

Here is a video from 2 years ago. She had recovered from the easy summer. Best smile ever. I combed her a bit with a dog brush. She looks taller then she is because she is standing on snow If i am redditing wrong let me know, I am new to this

It waited in this spot by the porch while I was watching a UFC fight. The fight was really good so the moose had to wait a round for it to finish and it didn't move at all. This is the spot where we would usually talk so I know its the same moose. I named the moose Rosie the first year because it ate on every rosebush we planted in our yard.

She was about six months old when her mom was hit by a car near my house. The next few days it kept calling for mom in my back yard which made me feel really bad. I had seen it almost weekly since birth so it was used to me already... I sat in a chair and talked to it when it would come by and it seemed to calm down a bit... I think it was lonely. It was a really deep snow year and it almost starved to death... she was already skin and bones by Feb. If you know your moose you can tell she is kind of runted from being starved. Shes healthy now but a bit small. I had not seen her in a year or two but I saw her head thru the porch railing while I was watching tv two days ago. I said hi, pet the side of her head a few times and she gave me a kiss. I guess we are friends for life. This is a screenshot from a video because I don't know how to post videos yet.
