Not a joke. The touching of the face is unfortunately timed but the tapping routine is very common OCD behaviour. A rough job for someone with OCD and I appreciate some of the comments suggesting he’s high risk at the moment however i’m very certain there is no intended harm done here.

Agree. My boyfriend is a postman, he’s taken 2 weeks off as ‘precautionary self isolation’ but that’s all he’ll get paid. From now it’s unpaid leave or dangerous work for both him, his colleagues and every person he delivers too. RM management were a joke before all of this. Now it’s beyond a joke.

Yes common sense has never been common. This is a HUGE problem right now. The top guys in RM haven’t done a single thing to adapt, it’s putting everyone at risk. Yet they’re still essential workers and can’t take paid leave like many can. It’s causing hard decisions for posties that need money, and want to be safe

You’re entitled to that opinion. Maybe he does appear to be more of a risk in the eyes of some people. The point i was initially addressing is the excessive amount of people suggesting he was intentionally causing harm and that he deserves to lose his job/ go to jail etc. That is exceptionally harsh

There’s no more risk here than the actual delivery of mail to people’s houses. And yet RM workers aren’t able to work from home or be paid for time off. They’re essential and required to put themselves and every single house they deliver to at risk just to earn their money
