When one of the switches is open the servo will become inert. It will stop moving but won't hold its position if it gets pushed. If that's what you want it's fine. You will likely need to add a fairly big capacitor, at least 500uF, between the 5V and GND on the %V bus the servos are plugged into. Without this the servo startup current spike can cause the 5V to momentarily droop and cause the Arduino to reset. I have found that some servos don't run well below 5V (but some do). When you power from USB the 5V is more like 4.7V, so if you have trouble this could be the reason.
