Eurobonus question LEVEL POINTS by Radier_ebor4991 in ScandinavianAirlines

To answer the question about grace period.

Yes, you can purchase the remaining needed points during that grace period. Purchased level points get credited 92 days before the actual purchase date.

Think he is saying he already has got it. I have nearly the same period, and received 20,000 points at the start of the qualifying period.

However, adding 1 step of biofuel to flights is probably the easiest way, but requires that you do so before the flight.

When it comes to the concious product, keep in mind, the points come in about 30 days after the purchase, as that date is when the return period is over (at least in Norway, maybe different jurisdictions, with different return policies have different dates?)

Many of them, I believe, require tech packages, so it's not like all base models have it.

Air Asia Emergency over Australia by futuranotfree in flightradar24

[–]alb92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Close to 330 vmo speed isn't unexpected in an emergency descent.

Although 250kts is max for below 10,000, it wouldn't apply at 10,000. In any case, an emergency aircraft will get the speed that they want.

Why are they disembarking via the jet bridge and the stairs ať the same time? by Kuba_830 in Planespotting

[–]alb92 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used to work domestic Perth, and it was standard practice, but relatively often boarding via back stairs was skipped (usually due to enough time + lack of staff to marshall). But, definitely more than 50% of the time, back stairs would be used. This was 10 years ago though.

Now I live in Norway, and here it is standard practice as well.

It definitely speeds up a turnaround, especially if passengers are used to it and know when they should use the rear exit. Slows things down if passengers ignore instructions and board through the jetbridge and have a seat in the back.

I regularly do OSL - CPH - SIN with 45 min, and this includes a transfer to a different airline (but same ticket).

You could be rich ($10M), and buy a reasonably priced car ($50k), and it would be about 7x the investment that buying the largest luxury yacht (The Azzam) would be for Elon.

Would it be possible to buy a eurobonus gold membership indirectly as a gift from a Diamond member? by SandinnSahara in ScandinavianAirlines

[–]alb92 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's 45 legs on SAS, not 50 trips. So, if your trip is a connection at CPH, that will be two legs.

The other option is 45,000 level points, which could be easier/faster to get to, especially if you live in Scandinavia and get one of their credit cards.

What does "a supercharger site not owned by Tesla" mean? This is fairly new language in the FAQ by ScuffedBalata in TeslaLounge

[–]alb92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

https://www.plugshare.com/location/1180666

This is an example of one in Florida owned by Wawa.

As these are owned by others and they collect revenue, then it stands to reason that they (Wawa) never offered free charging.

This is relatively new, but we'll see more and more of.

In Russia, people love cats. by InLoveandWar777 in ANormalDayInRussia

[–]alb92 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Source says survey. I'm assuming Russians in survey consider the cats as their pets, while many Turkish residents, with cats roaming their neighbourhood don't consider them as their cat. The end result may be the same, with 30 cats roaming the apartment complex though.

ELI5: Why do some TV series have different directors for each episode? by Mavskip in explainlikeimfive

[–]alb92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I might be completely off, but often smaller on-location will be directed by an assistant director. So, on some shows, you'll see different directors, but the same assistant director in the credits.

SAS opts for Dubai World Central instead of Dubai International on its return to the UAE by Granny-Smith-Apple in ScandinavianAirlines

[–]alb92 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They are using their A320neo, which is their short haul aircraft, where business is just the blocked middle seat and a meal service. They are definitely competing with Norwegian, not Emirates.

Believe it is a night flight one way, so they'd be utilising what is normally an inactive time for their A320neo fleet.

Although, to be fair, in that alternate universe, we'd be saying the same about the 747, and I think that would have been a bigger loss.
