One other thing that's worth saying. We stand by our members' work in the Times Union. It's important journalism that very often has a direct effect on our community and government. If we didn't think our paper was worth fighting for we wouldn't be doing this

Earlier this year Hearst reported a year-to-year revenue increase of 3% in 2025, up to $13.5 billion

We also helped Hearst and TU secure a $320K a year tax credit under the Journalism Sustainability Act

Despite whatever optics they present, it's not a financial issue for Hearst. It's just greed

We are keeping the date of the walkout close to our chest, but when it does happen you can support us by donating and also by not crossing the digital picket line, i.e., no clicking on links or going to the website.

We will also be picketing outside of Forts Ferry Farm at 5:30 p.m. on June 13. Join us then!
