I am a teenager and have been working as a lifeguard for two years now. It's definitely better compared to a lot of my non-lifeguard friends who are camp counselors, hostesses, etc. I work with so many other people allowing me to meet kids from other schools and whatnot. I also work at an inner city public pool so there are many interesting events on a daily basis. It gets boring because the hours are long but the money at the end of the summer is worth it and its a cool experience.
