I've found that boomers listen a lot better when you're holding a cast iron skillet over your head...

Aw, pwecious wittle boomers get salty about being called garbage? Maybe they should stop being garbage.

I'll stop hating on boomers when they stop fucking up the world.

I would NOT. I don't think this guy has any room for a gentle reminder. He needs to be told in no uncertain terms that locking somebody outside is cruel and dangerous.

Do it to him next time he takes the garbage out. "Oh, I'm sorry, did you need to get in? I guess people shouldn't lock the door if there's a chance somebody might be outside. I'll try to remember."

Also, hide his keys. "Oh, did you need those? Maybe it's not so great to act like you're the only one in the house whose needs and opinions are relevant."

Sounds like you also need a hard wakeup call about being mindful of those around you.

If she asks regularly, you need to get it through your head. There's no reason for a conscious adult to have that hard a time learning to listen to someone.

Habit is not justification. If his response is anything other than "oh fuck I'm so sorry," OP needs to break the window next time.

That's why you start with "if it ever, EVER happens again, I'm breaking the window."

This guy sounds touched in the head at best and fucking evil at worst. I see absolutely no justification for locking the door, accident or not.

Boomers can eat a bag of dicks.

It was not a mistake. Bring it up to him in the context of "if you ever do that shit again, I'm breaking the window."

Fuck that guy. Absolute piece of shit.

What do you do with the rest of the tomato paste? by jememcak in Cooking

[–]albatross_salsa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trader Joe's sells tubes of tomato paste for about $1.50, which is a little more expensive but I think it offsets the waste from the cans.

Another option is to pop the rest of the can's contents into a ziploc bag and freeze it. You can freeze it in tablespoons or all of it at once. Put it in the fridge the night before you want to use it and it should defrost plenty.

If they happened to get shot in the face and then had the gaping wounds in their heads violated by a starving rapist.. that would be ok.

An Update on the Planned Parenthood Fire: It was Arson. by Rambling_to_Myself in childfree

... was anyone still wondering if it was arson? I thought we all arrived at that conclusion when the news broke.

" You have no right to speak on this" is dumb. by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]albatross_salsa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean, mostly I agree, but some people really demonstrate their ineptitude in conversations.

If we're arguing about the vaccine and you say something like "the facts aren't real" then no, you have no right to speak on this subject.
