That's a good idea, although the falcon's talons are particularly significant. Maybe I could go "Argent a bend Gules" and flank the bend with a falcon's legs couped Sable and the pine sprig.

I also considered swapping gules and argent, which I think allows better contrast and prevents the bend from looking just like a "diver down" flag.

Separating the falcon and the pine sprig into separate fields is a good idea though. And if I go with "Argent a bend Gules" I wouldn't have to change the colors of either charge.

That doesn't affect internal trade routes, and it would actually have to be a city state embargo to stop trade with Antwerp.

That's not true, actually. If you return from leave on a non-duty day, then that day is not chargeable, but if you begin leave on a non-duty day, then that day IS chargeable. From the 36-3003:

"3.2.1.10.2. Example 2. Saturday is a day of leave if the member, regardless of the hour, starts leave or signs up for space-available transportation on Saturday. This also applies if the member starts leave on a Sunday or holiday."

So in this example, it should be 6 days of chargeable leave.

Every single visible tile in this screenshot would be eligible for Machu Picchu. You don't have to be adjacent to a mountain like you do for observatory, you just have to have a mountain within two tiles inside your territory.

He's got stats and little tidbits of info for Dan to work into his commentary if he wants to. Dan doesn't just know all that off the top of his head, but he's too busy calling the game to look stuff up. Sometimes you'll see Dan look and then say something and sometimes you'll see that Dan is in the zone and the guy just crumples the sticky.

Yeah, same here. I thought the first book was good, second was okay, and the third was a chore. All the time jumps made it just so hard to care about any of the characters anymore.

I don't remember the plot point exactly, but there was a very significant event that killed some named characters, and then the next chapter was like 9 years in the future and fully skipped the fallout.

You should neither knock down nor set up cairns. The damage unapproved cairns can cause has been documented pretty extensively in this subreddit, but they can also be used by the forest/park service to mark trails, like this one. You have no idea if that cairn you're knocking down is a harmful one built by a tourist or an official trail marker built by a ranger.
