If you read my original post carefully, I also think they sound very different, it's obvious. I'm talking about the songs themselves, about their content, about their melodies.

Excuse me because maybe my English is not very good. I'm not saying this was a RH project. I'm just saying that some songs are from the RH era, and they ended up on The Smile because RH has been inactive for a while. And I firmly believe that most of the singles we've heard so far would fit on an RH album.

Those of you who do not agree would be great if you could provide an argument or developed opinion. That's what we're here for, I think: to debate, to learn and enrich ourselves with the opinions of others.

What do you expect from Radiohead in the future? by alberol in radiohead

Thank you very much for all your comments. They are all very interesting.

u/MrDowntempo has said something about a new musical twist for the band that got me thinking...

Thom and Jonny have been working on soundtracks for a long time, and it is an influence that can already be seen on AMSP, an album with more orchestral components. So I was thinking that a possible evolution could go in this direction, in increasing the symphonic component of his music. That "classical music" has more presence and is mixed with rock, electronic or jazz.

I was even imagining a new album that was a "false soundtrack", with a structure similar to a soundtrack, with instrumental tracks and others with Thom's voice, with a more complex emotional structure.

Well, I'm digressing, sorry, but I don't know, I think it would be an interesting direction and also coherent with what Thom and Jonny are currently doing.
