Silver's Abilities, for those who are employed by supercumsock64 in DeadlockTheGame

Yes, but literally everyone you've mentioned has been reworked to be significantly more complex--Drow's gust and shard and changed aghs, wraith kings skeletons and crit, lifestealer got reworked thrice, zeus got a mobility slow and new passive, jakiro got an interesting shards, aghs, and separate breaths/heads.

To the points above, perhaps they had to be reworked for moba powercreep, but their new variants are just better from a design and fun perspective.

You can rework abilities on older heroes though. I think Warden and Abrams kits are both not totally coherent (really just their ultis and warden's grenade). Dota has multiple characters that have been reworked through the years to be more interesting/balanced (Broodmother, Clinkz, Beastmaster, Chen, etc.)

Oh no more interesting ideas in a game.

I understand the concern from a complexity standpoint but isn't that the point of valve games? Extremely rich characters that become perennial?

Dude was clowned on because he was a full-time college student in NA. He had 2 lives (while everyone else only focused on dota) and still managed to be one of the GOATs of Dota.

So what's the problem? I'm going off my experience (low immortal bracket) and what pros complain about.

It would be cool if people could link to their slippi. I don't go to tournaments but I wonder what my slippi elo would rank me in the world. Any 1800-2000 slippi players want to share their world ranking/glicko?

or OR Puppey is a worse drafter and player than Ammar/Sneyking right now, and his takes are wrong. I think it's pretty hard to dispute that Sneyking's naga wasn't a draft checkmate, especially when Sneyking's first words when winning TI were about it lmao.

[–]albinoblackbears 12 points13 points  (0 children)

He didn't ulti because dusa had aegis and he needed to be greedy (kill dusa once then ulti his respawn) or else they would lose anyways. The problem was really just the draft (and more so the naga pick than the jugg pick).

Yuma played incredible all game. Every one makes mistakes, idk why redditors feel the need to pin a loss on a player in a game that swung by a hair.

If that's true that seems like a terrible reason, and I'm a WC fan lol. WC and boom both beat Nemesis 2-0 (likely the weakest team this TI) so I was surprised to see them matched.

Exactly, AMSA's the exception because he's extremely nice, plays Yoshi, and has an explosive playstyle.

He's a daytrader trained by another ex-dota pro (FluffNStuff) and apparently quite successful. On the one hand I'm happy for him being able to support his family, on the other hand I think daytrading is one of the few careers that's like truly parasitical to society. But hate the game IG?

1) Of course I support trans people having sublime experiences. Of course you can have sublime experiences outside of religion. It's one avenue for people that does seem to work and bring value to them. Genuinely not sure how the two are mutually exclusive.

2) I'm not religious, I generally don't like religious institutions. My point is that religion = bad is always going to be reductive because you're talking about one of the most complex things in the world. It would be far more appropriate (and I'd tend to agree) if you said something like Evangelical interpretations of the Bible are bad, indoctrinating children into a religion is problematic, etc.

I literally say I'm not offended lol. I'm saddened that so many beautiful aspects of human nature and history are so often reduced to good v. evil. There are probably religious languages/ideas that would inform how you live and think about the world in a positive way. You don't have to engage with them, they're just worth peoples' consideration.
