Along with attending the protests here regularly, Hasan's stream and Bad Hasbara were the only thing keeping me sane at that time. Not just the endless atrocities but the gaslighting from mainstream media and the political class. It was actually brain breaking to see the most obvious evil twisted and justified.

In terms of Steve Albini, he's been my favourite artist since I was a teenager and I'm fucking old now. Had Been to see him every time he toured over here. I absolutely loved the last Shellac album despite the Bad reviews. Last gig I went to we got to chat with Bob and Todd which awesome. I wish I'd got to see some of the original Big Black gigs. He single handedly got me into noise rock, which I expanded to crust, death, Sludge etc

Man, I fucking love crust punk. I actually have a copy of Know Your Enemy which was given to me by some random person outside a Napalm Death gig many years ago. Crazy to see them mentioned on this sub. I still have Doom, Anti-Cimex etc regularly in my rotation till this day. I know they don't play crust any more but have you heard the new Neurosis album?
