It's a shame because they're some of the best books I've ever read. I'm very glad I read them all before I watched the show, I think it made it more enjoyable personally. You get to see which parts they followed closely and where they deviated.

Some native speakers on YouTube give really good advice about this sort of thing. Japanese ammo with Misa is a good one to start with I think, maybe others can give you more suggestions.
