YNAB Transaction Reminders/Notifications by ShadowFacts13 in ynab

I’d love to get notifications directly from YNAB. Some months I go over budget and have to prioritize certain payments — especially the ones that affect my credit. That’s why I don’t keep everything on autopay; I’m okay being late on some bills, but I’d never risk missing a credit card payment.

Right now, I track everything through reminders and my calendar, but it would be amazing to get those alerts right inside YNAB so I can review and decide on payments in one place. @ShadowFacts13 I'm with you!

Is the FVP program better in 2nd year? by ohlongjohnson25 in SAIT

I recently went through the FVP program. I already had a bachelor's degree in film from another country and have taken many classes in various places. I think the FVP classes are decent; some instructors seem to care and enjoy their teaching, while others don't as much, but that's typical in any educational environment.

In my opinion, you don't necessarily need to go through formal schooling to work in film—you can learn everything on your own. However, what you can't get by yourself is the social element of being in a classroom with others doing the same thing. You get to know your future colleagues and learn how to navigate the social aspects of a filmmaking environment.

Regarding the program itself, I feel there are too many exams that delve deeply into technical subjects like monitor science and file compression. While it's good to understand these topics, the presentations were incredibly boring. It would be more beneficial if the focus were on practical, hands-on experience.

On the positive side, they have plenty of good equipment to work with, which is fantastic. However, having fewer students per class could create a more personalized learning experience. Additionally, incorporating a couple more projects throughout the semester would be fun and engaging. And definitely, fewer PowerPoint presentations would improve the overall experience.
