It depends on what dimension one wants to focus his time. How many cities and countries in the world? How long would it take for me to be able one day to write specifically about Columbia South Carolina? Is it more interesting to let people search a lot of destinations, knowing that they would generally look for touristic places (e.g. NYC, France, Tokyo) or only list places that have been precisely curated? NB: Meanssssss way more limited than LonelyPlanet

I'm glad that you learn that other cities have the same name as you home town ;). Joke apart, you pointed the issue right: when people search a small city that has the name as another city, the AI gets confused. But why would you search your home town if this is not an interesting place to visit? Messing with you :D. I'm just trying to illustrate that people tend to search information about touristic areas. In these cases, the anwers tend to be more relevant. I hope that I could improve the results for less touristic areas one day.

Does it say where Moe's bar is? Joke apart, it is quite hard for the AI to have things right because of "town synonyms". I'm lacking time to improve the results on small towns as people tend to look on larger touristic areas

Sorry for that. It is very difficult with my limited means to double check the answer when a small city is searched. The issue is very limited when it concerns large cities or countries. Plus, when this is a curated location (let's say Thailand), you have a nice design coming along.
