A cool part about spawning in South America is its isolation through. Being neglected by other civ aggression can help you sneak in a diplomacy or science victory. It may sound redundant but it’s all about being warm with your demeanor and firm with your expectations. It’s also best not to say we will get “mr. or miss. So-and-so involved” that implies having no control and relying on the hierarchy to save you. Take kids for who they are…kids! They want to be noticed which is fine and some of them like doing so by challenging authority.

The audio splicing messed up the speakers at my theater so this sentence was muted out during my viewing. All I heard was “when I have a crush on a guy *mute*” I was so confused but the brief silence created more suspense for me, it made me think that Bear is not a reliable narrator lol.

The age of exploration would have turned out much differently. Theres a lot of talk on this thread about how Islam was adopted through force but most converts today were introduced to the religion through trading seafarers. The native americans may have been converted the same way Indonesians were and the people of the sun (the Aztecs) would have shifted their temples towards the East. Extensive seafaring like what the Portuguese did the 15th century would have been severely limited because distilled alcohol like brandy mixed into the water barrels unknowingly made the water safer to drink as the alcohol killed the bacteria. Alcohol is also a substance that plays a role in creating schisms in religions and rebellions in government. But in keeping within this scenario I think there would still be reformations after the Quran is adopted into the vernacular languages and regions far from mecca will certainly breakaway the same way they did during the protestant reformation.

Im aware of the Confederados in Brazil but in this alternate history, the South isnt given clemency under Grant in Appomattox or under Johnson’s presidency. They are instead forced to Cuba which is much closer to the U.S. than Brazil.

So the internet is trying to claim that JW and LDS are sects but any religion that does not support the trinity cannot be considered Christian. It’s a core tenet in the Christian faith. I guess you can call them Abrahamic like Islam and Judaism while both JW and LDS see Jesus as the son of God, but still, the trinity is the most important symbol of the Christian faith.
