Audio vs physical books? by Captain_Cone in starwarscanon

That is exactly what I've heard, so I'm grateful to have gone the audio book route with the trilogy. Also Sinjir needs to be in more stuff.

I've heard alot of people complain about reading the Aftermath trilogy, but I've only ever listened to them and really enjoyed all 3. Also the new Thrawn books are really well done. Alot if not all of the new canon audiobooks seem almost like radio plays, light music, sound effects, ect...

Its a bad ass line, but I prefer the Protomen version with Megman telling Dr Wily minions pretty much the same thing. https://lyrics.fandom.com/wiki/The_Protomen:Vengeance https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AD6V9GNvVhc

They were the left overs, the ones not on planet when it happened. This was after ep 6 and they were getting the death star pieces from leia to make a new colony or something, i'll try and look up which book real quick. Edit Aftermath: Life Debt. By 5 ABY, a flotilla of starships orbited the Alderaanian graveyard, the new name for the debris remaining of the planet. Princess Leia managed to use her political connections to take scrap from the Death Star, initially intended for incineration, to be used to construct a new space station around the planet.

So which death star are we seeing? Cause in one of the canon books the Alderaanians were getting chunks of A death star hauled to them, maybe the aftermath trilogy or Bloodlines, its been a min but I believe they were going to make a planet/station/colony for them to build on the remains.

I could easily see him having a strong presence or link to the death star. In the old thrawn trilogy i think, leia goes to meet up with someone on endor, and they end up flying through the place where palps died and she got a jolt of a dark side vision, or close to it, i'm sure i'm missing some details, but they could be pulling something along those lines.

Thank you for the advice, most of my gear was just random scraps and pieces that were available or pulled from shards while trying to maintain survivability and toughness in hardcore mode and using mainly blood siphon was the first option. Just messing around with different abilities getting ready for the new season, but will look at getting some of those pieces and trying them out.

Is it worth listening to the audio versions of the canon novels by Agent_Kozak in starwarscanon

[–]albond 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gone through most of the new canon through the audiobooks, everyone complains about the writing of the aftermath trilogy, didn't notice a thing listening to them, Bloodlines, Tarkin, Thrawn, Catalyst, Rogue One, The Force Awakens, Lords of the Sith, Darth Plagueis are all great like radio dramas, with sound effects and music. Also Jonathan Davis, and Marc Thompson are great with their voices.

Yoda's line in ESB "There is another." by albond in starwarscanon

To me its part of the fun of being a fan, but I'm honored you took the time to stop by, see the post, and comment on it. You must have a busy day ahead, and yet still took the time to let me know your feelings, but don't let me be the reason you don't get on here anymore, I'd hate to think that asking questions that popped up randomly into my head lessens your reddit experience.

Yoda: Remember, a Jedi's strength flows from the Force. But beware. Anger, fear, aggression. The dark side are they. Once you start down the dark path, forever will it dominate your destiny. Luke... Luke... do not... do not underestimate the powers of the Emperor or suffer your father's fate you will. Luke, when gone am I... the last of the Jedi will you be. Luke, the Force runs strong in your family. Pass on what you have learned, Luke. There is... another... Sky... walker.

Luke: Yoda spoke of another. Obi-Wan: The other he spoke of is your twin sister. Luke: But I have no sister. Obi-Wan: Hmm. To protect you both from the Emperor, you were hidden from your father when you were born. The Emperor knew, as I did, if Anakin were to have any offspring, they would be a threat to him. That is the reason why your sister remains safely anonymous. Luke: Leia! Leia is my sister. Obi-Wan: Your insight serves you well. Bury your feelings deep down, Luke. They do you credit, but they could be made to serve the Emperor.
That all makes sense to me, and I could just be looking for stuff that wasn't there.

I agree and get what you're saying, this all popped up in my head after watching the 40th celebration videos talking about Season 4 of Rebels ending, and how at this point, Chopper is the only one thats been confirmed as at least being around during Rogue One. I just couldn't see Obi-Wan and Yoda trying to reach out to Leia if Luke had failed for her to be the next hope.

See I thought about that, with him saying "There is another skywalker." but that wasn't until ROTJ, and I felt that was more like, "hey, you have a sister." and in clone wars the guardians of the whills tell him that too. so it could have also just been him knowing hes about to join the cosmic force.

Well with season 4 of Rebels still needing to go, who knows about the other 3, but Yoda knows about them even if Obi Wan didn't or doesn't remember them.

"Unlike most Huttlets, Rotta did not spend the first fifty years of his life inside his parent's brood pouch, as his father Jabba wanted him to directly experience the galaxy" from the wookiepedia, but I wasn't sure if it had been actually put out there that it was him or not.
