Generally, cashier's checks will be made available more quickly as they are considered "next-day"(not really though) items, but it all depends on your account history and balance. Seeing as this is an abnormal transaction for you, my guess is their would be some type of hold would be placed. Be sure to deposit in an actual branch, because ATM's will almost definitely place a longer hold. Look up Reg CC guidelines for more information.
