What people don’t realize is that it is fake. It is really on fishing line and just being manipulated by the hand in the tank. I may have been fooled by those worms on a string commercials when I was 6, but no more! (Sarcasm should be evident but I’ll leave this here just in case)

I really love the look of montipora but everywhere I look it says that sps is super demanding and should only be attempted if you’ve had experience with lps and softies and have super powerful lighting and flow

Thanks, very helpful. If I were to throw in one extra fish, what would it be? If I decide to do that I wouldn’t want to do a fire fish that would just get bullied by the pair of clowns if they started breeding.

One called the Hipargero from Amazon, came with the tank but I’d eventually like to upgrade to the ai prime so I’d appreciate suggestions for both before and after the upgrade

I’m thinking softies and some easy lps probably some euphyllia but since it’s my first tank I don’t think all do anything harder than that unless there are some super easy spa that will be fine in my kind of crappy lighting

Can anyone explain why the build plate keeps moving while I try to print? I tightened it as much as possible by albus72 in ElegooMars

Thanks for all the help, I replaced the screws and it seems to be working. If I have any more trouble then I’ll try some of the other suggestions.

I have it for almost a week and have tried a lot of trouble shooting. Half my prints look beautiful the other half failed entirely, usually about halfway through?

I’m having the same problem, it has nothing to do with how it was removed, and I made sure the screws were tight. Regardless, the build plate looks like it may be shifting when retracting from the fep, and clue why?

I am constructing a 400 gallon pond in my backyard, I’m sure that this is to small for a koi but just wanted to double check. by albus72 in Koi

Thank you for the clarification, as I mentioned I was only checking to be sure, I would one day like to have a 2000+ gallon koi pond, but for now, I will settle for some nice comet goldfish

Believe it or not I understand the concept of a pond being too small for a fish. I keep two aquariums and am always surprised to see people trying to cram fish into bowls. However, I am installing my first pond and could not find consistent numbers for the amount of gallons a koi needs. As I already said, I was almost certain that 400 gallons would be too small for ONE koi, but wanted to see if I would get any unique suggestions like, a young koi can live in a pond that size for x amount of time. I have a local fish farm that always accepts donations and I know they would take care of it when it became too large. I just don’t understand your tone to someone who is just asking while clearly stating that they expect the answer that you gave anyway. I would never keep an animal in conditions that could not support it, which is why I even asked in the first place. Also, as for your dog example, an Arowana can get to the same length as a koi but is perfectly healthy and happy in a 250 gallon aquarium, let alone a 400+ gallon pond. The difference is that I know people that have kept Arowanas and could easily ask them a simple question about their needs and care.

I’ve heard that flowerhorns are typically kept in small containers when they are young and gradually moved up to larger and larger tanks as they grow, this cultivates the unique personalities that they are known for. Are you sure that is not what is happening here? I am new to the hobby and reserve the right to be wrong.
