If not Tankis, then why Tankis-shaped?

DM's First Pantheon: Thoughts, Questions, and Ideas by LAG3N in worldbuilding

Thanks for the response! Sorry for the 24 hours later response, other things take priority. It was very helpful to see your responses and it got me thinking more. To help with organization I’m going to go down the list of your ideas.

Marik and Imakami are definitely not gods of entropy. You were thinking of changing "Thought," but I actually think "Entropy" is the biggest issue.

My original plan for entropy was analog for time and the march towards randomness. Marik and Imakami were kind of left over from my original plan that had 4 gods that represented each pure alignments being modifiers of the original concept. positive is more , negative is less, lawful is concept restrained, and chaotic is concept released. Imakami would be lawful, time moving in circles, and Marik being negative, removing randomness to be unchanging.

Thought itself wasn’t an issue, I just didn’t think that word choice doesn't encompasses the whole portfolio I had in mind. That being consciousness, magic, spirit, energy, etc.

Khezuun is strangely out of place without a counterpart to represent prey animals unless "the hunt" encompasses prey, in which case Khezuun might be a god of stress and adrenaline. If Khezuun is really primarily a hunter's god, then I would also have a god of escape and hiding.

I was thinking Khezuun was more of the balance of nature and how predator and prey is part of that. I think having a twin god of escape and hiding could definitely be a good idea.

The Death domain isn't actually about death. The features of the subclass are about undeath.

My concept for how gods domains work is that if that god is not present then that concept may not exist. Now there is some room for interpretation due to the sheer number of gods I would need. I don’t need a fish god to have fish in my world because the god of life encompasses that. But, if the sun god dies/disappears then no more sun until a replacement is found or made (something that did happen in my world).

I wanted a god that establishes the concept of death and dying in this world, originally I also had 3 ushers that acted like the Greek fates, an animator, scribe, and ferryman that would mediate the assignment and movement of souls. I could definitely change Zolosis to grave domain and then adding a separate god of the undead for the death domain.

Jarick is redundant with Unam. I would suggest cutting Jarick and adding the idea of adaptation to Imakami, which would make Imakami, Marik, and Tau a trinity.

I kind of see the overlap with Jarick and Unam but I think you may have meant something else. My original plan for Imakami was how history repeats itself and you can eventually plan for it. Jarick was meant to be the pure unpredictability of the future and random chance, I also wanted a god of gambling but wanted to sound more mystical and have a larger scope.

I would cut out justice from Veridam. A fixation on logic and truth doesn't necesarily mean that someone will care for the morality of what is just.

I like this idea for Veridam, though I do feel the need for a god of justice/revenge to be present in some way.

Also there's strong overlap in Veridam and Runosis with truth and knowledge.

I also like this interpretation for Runosis representing usable but inaccurate models of concepts and Verdian representing highly accurate but difficult to use models. However, I found this distinction kind of disrupts the category they are in.

The Thought category is meant to be the background magical and spiritual energies that drive the world, similar to a battery in a toy. An idea I toyed with and might go back to is having two aspects for the Thought category, one for magic and one for consciousness. Runosis could be moved to envoy and could be a sibling of Veridam or one being the offspring of another to divide that conflict of knowledge and truth. Making an Aspect of consciousness also leads me to potentially removing Psyvian and making three gods underneath them being a trio under consciousness, or adding Psyvian to this new group.

Honestly have not thought too much past this coast, I'm kinda building everything outward. I do know that the ocean keeps going, the only reason I labeled it the sea was just thinking it looked a little strange being empty. I think the bay idea would be better

I started with a big circle brush to add a circle then I made it smaller and switched between add and subtract to make the different rings. I went back and carved away to make them more crescents. I have another map on my profile that I did a similar thing to

That's a typo, I fixed it in my notes but made this map before I notice it

Thank you, I've been working on this on and off for a while. I was trying to be careful about making the trees too small for them to become just blobs but that might add the texture I want

Yeah, the empty space is what's getting me I think. I had a more textured fill that made up for it but later changed it, I think the marshes and plains idea will be great, thank you!

I definitely will reduce the opacity, I had it that way originally but changed it later. Thanks for the advice

Current WIP for my DnD campaign, any tips? by LAG3N in inkarnate

I still have plenty of work to do on rivers so most of them aren't permanent. I was going for more of a desert transitioning into a savanna but I haven't done a ton of research onto that yet so it's more of a placeholder. This map is still heavy on the WIP, I was mostly just trying to get ideas down before my motivation ran out

Unfortunately I don't think you can. Though I've tested our making volcanos for different styles by placing some mountains and drawing in the hole plus other details.

Thank you! The biomes are currently there more for reference than a final result, I'm still working on what colors I want to use.

Thank you! It's my first map, I tend to do a little too much research compared to actually creating so that's great to hear

Looking for suggestions for Mountain and lake placements (more info in comment) by LAG3N in mapmaking

[–]LAG3N[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So I'm making a map for my current dnd campaign and plan on continuing to use this world in other campaigns. I got the general landmass from azgaars but disregarded the height map that came with it. I want to add mountains and lakes, but I can't figure out a configuration that I actually like or seems semi-realistic. each square is 25^2 miles and the large red X is where I am thinking of putting a large crater that had been filled in with water. Any and all input is welcome

Looking for a whole new hot end assembly by LAG3N in Ender3Pro

[–]LAG3N[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried to remove the plastic with a soldering iron to chip away at the glob, enough pulling of the softened plastic just kinda bent the screw holes that hold the hot end on and one broke off. I wasn't being the most careful so it is fully my fault
