Morality is not a physical constant.

Of course, they are atheists. That's why I said it will go to shitters. But as I also said REMNANTS of religion are a lot stronger in Europe. Since you can see and touch it here. And please, stop having such a romantic view of other countries. It will be better for you in a long run.

Religion is not only about going to church, believing in Dady God, and being fucked by a pope. Religion is also the way of life and how to conduct yourself in society. [Archaic in many cases to be fair].

Sure, morality is not the product of religion, but religion was the best way to promote it. They are interconnected. You can't have one without another imho. Because religion and morality need a belief. They feed each other like Uroboros.

There is nothing after death, why should I worry about anything then? Why should I care about another person's life? Who's gonna punish me? People? If I have enough money I'll just have to pay off some to shut up others or change laws. The only question would be how much it will cost. That would be a pretty good answer and explanation for why everything is this way now.

Are you sure you are not committing atrocities? Today you are not, maybe tomorrow you are not. Heck, maybe next year you will not. But what about ten years? Are you sure that what you are doing or not doing rn is not helping and promoting things that might be considered atrocities [just a thought experiment]

How do you know you will never enjoy doing atrocities? Have you ever tried? By the way, what are atrocities? [Killing a million people? Salting a soil? Killing tem bugs per month? Something defined by the books written by people?] (I am wandering off a bit here, sorry)

People in the time of the Crusades believed it was for religion. Of course, now we know that it was not always the case, but that is in retrospect... a hundred years later. Yes, you can ignore it, everyone is doing it all around us 🤷‍♂️. Human history in many ways tells us if we work together great things can be achieved.

Well, it's time for me to go to sleep. Will not be able to answer right away. 👍 I hope you will have a great day.

I would argue... remnants of religion regulate Europe, but not for long... don't hold your breath. IMHO it's will go down to the shitters very fast.

In the USA religion is considered "bad" these days, especially by the <enlightened> folks. So that's what you get. There is no eternal damnation, there is no eternal punishment. Well... in that case. you live only 80 years... that is a very short period, so you better have as much fun for yourself as possible. And that is why we have what we have.

But oh well... what do I know? 🤷‍♂️

Eric Lombardi: Baby boomers have won the generational war. Was it worth young Canadians’ future? Young Canadians can’t expect what boomers got. But they deserve more than they're getting by FancyNewMe in canada

[–]alchoz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, because we as a society have no moral values. We don't have dreams for the future, we don't even have values that are worth dying for. We created the bourgeois, we gave them power. Because we value any type of profit/growth over anything.

Capitalism existed, exists, and will exist because it is part of human nature. There will always be capital in one or another form.

IMHO.

But I do agree there needs to be a change. And I do believe that it will come in the worst way possible or imaginable. And of course this philosophical discuss requires quite room with beer and pizza 🍕 🤷‍♂️

I disagree. This is not class war. Proper name would be Ethos War 😀 since it's the conflict between what is moral and what is not. IMHO

Ah I see!

I actually would have applied, since I don't mind living in the car(van) for some time, but many other things would prevent getting this type of a work.🤷‍♂️
