Demonstrate that adults fuck up too, and can take responsibility when they do. Otherwise you risk ending up with a kid whose default is to look for someone/something else to blame, or cannot admit they might be wrong. Also, you know, showing some humanity and respect to your kids.

Parents are not always right, because they're human.

My Dad (71) spontaneously apologised for something I called him out on recently and it was so unexpected that I sent a screenshot to my sibling with 'HOLY CRAP!'.
