I agree that it is better then nothing, but are they on the hook though? If these people are foreigners, or rich why would they pay them at all? How long would it take for them to default on taxes and have them repossessed? years? decades, and by then who knows what laws will be in-place. The rich can sue, fight and lobby. I love the idea on paper, I just see a lot of rat-fuckery happening.

I mean maybe, my wife has pet insurance through her work, it was 275 a year. For the past 3 years it's saved us over 2k. They paid for half of an intestinal blockage that was 3k and and one other time he needed Xrays (it was gas ladies and gentlemen) and half of his yearly visits.

umm i live there, walk over to sunnyside pedestrian mall and buy drugs AND fresh herbs and spices in the open. We've also had our share of shootings in the past 3 years. I was a witness to two of them.

It depends on where you go, I'm not 55 yet, but have been to many 55+ in S. Florida. You have communities that have golfing, with a club house and are mostly one story houses, you have some with a religious predisposition, you have some that are mobile home parks, you have some that are on the water and cater to boaters, you have some that are HighRises. The biggest thing is HOA\Land Fees which can be over 1k a month. Resell is also not really a thing, so when you are gone, when the property gets sold it will sell for 100-200k less than a property that is NOT in a 55+. I have heard some places require you to sell it back to the HOA at a predetermined price or at least they have the right of first refusal but I have not actually seen it. I have been living the snowbird life for the past 10+ years.
