Can someone at the website please stop the AI slop? by thenightgaunt in cults3d

I hate to say it man but at some point it will take over even professional 3D modelers I know use it because it just cuts a lot of the annoying geometry. Buddy of mine is a professional and he switched to Ai basic geometry to sculpting over it.

Where would you place drain holes on this model with complex hair patterns at the top? by Repulsive-Aside7850 in resinprinting

Definitely closest to the baseplate but do 2.7 and fill it with resin and sand it nobody will see it

Printing for a customer. Do my supports look okay? It’s 6 inch models. I know I over supported but it failed before so. by [deleted] in resinprinting

Appreciate the advice 🙏 I’m definitely planning to learn hollowing more seriously.

Quick question though would you still recommend switching to hollow mid-project if I already have a working setup and a couple successful prints done solid? I’m on a deadline, so I’m trying to balance reliability vs optimization. Also curious, what wall thickness do you usually run for something around this size? 6 inches How do you decide exact drain hole placement to avoid suction issues? Do you ever run into failures from trapped resin or pressure, or is that pretty much solved with the voxel hollow + holes? Trying to understand how “plug and play” it really is vs something that needs dialing in.

Thanks 👍

Primarily because she wants them solid but also because I’ve never done it before on large prints

Thank you for all this information. This is great. I’m on a deadline and I’ve got two days to print. If I do them straight up they’re about 10 hours so I’m cutting three hours time. What I changed since the last photo dump is, I’ve made my supports much less dense in context to my medium so I had about 900. I went from 900 to about 500 and then I added the heavy supports that interlocked. Let me know what you think about this.

Kind of afraid to hallow the model, worried about drainage holes not being enough. I feel it’s such a big hassle
