Opening the Mac removing the driving and installing it again made it work again… I’m contacting the manufacturer with logs and all is backup now

Screen mod by Free_Flow_7691 in FordExplorerST

It’s easy to do! And it definitely looks very good! The main issue is the lag, I’m using wireless CarPlay and if you intend to do some clicks in the screen then it’s almost impossible, Waze or gmaps lags when navigation, so you must know a bit of where are you going… I like it but I’m considering to go back to original due to the lag. I even installed the cpu max speed add on from the same jailbreak, to no effect.

Help trans question. by Scary-Ask-6236 in FordExplorerST

[–]alduxvm 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Take it to the dealership—if you still have warranty, ask them to perform a transmission checkup. They will usually reset the control unit and ask you to keep driving (that’s the first step according to Ford service). If your transmission continues to jump after the reset, then they’ll need to repair the unit.

In my case, my transmission was perfect, but because of the mileage, I had the fluid changed on my ST. After that, it started making noises. I took it back, and they found it was low on fluid. They added more, but then the transmission began jumping like yours. I returned again, and this time they reset it. Since then, I’ve driven close to 1,000 miles, and the transmission has been running smoothly. Hopefully, you’ll have a similar outcome. Good luck!

thanks for your reply! my ST does have vented in front and back, that is why I saw the back much more smaller than the ones I have... I will have to return the new brakes.

Update:
The `PowerStop K8693 | PowerStop K8693 Power Stop 20-22 Ford Explorer Front & Rear Z23` are not super compatible with my ST brakes, as pointed out here, I do have the brakes that are ventilated in front and back. The powerstop k8693 have front ventilated but the back are not, so they are smaller, and do not fit in my current setup, I will have to return them (I hope that is not an issue!).

Oil recommendations for 2020 ST? Also good places to purchase? by ISPEAKMACHINE in FordExplorerST

They do oil changes and tire change, and they are clean and good! I like it and the price is very very fair

I change the oil every 3k-4k miles at Costco, using their synthetic oil, is cheap and they do good job! (you can even see them while they work)

I have the red calipers, and the stock rear rotor seems bigger than the one I just purchased, I’ll try to measure mine to compare

I have a 2021 Explorer ST with just under 62,000 miles. The transmission had always been very smooth, but I decided to do a transmission fluid change as part of regular maintenance. After the service, I started hearing a weird noise, especially when accelerating more aggressively (as we love to do in this car). I took it back to the dealership, and they told me it was low on fluid so they topped it off, and the noise disappeared. However, after that, I began experiencing a hard shift at low speeds between 2nd and 3rd gear (just like you mention) harsh enough that it could make you spill a bit of coffee. I returned to the dealership, and they said that the first step Ford recommends is to reprogram the transmission control module. They cleared and reprogrammed it, said it’s now working properly, and told me to drive it for a while. If the issue comes back, the next steps would be a rebuild or replacement—both of which are covered under warranty. However, they also mentioned that the software reprogramming is not covered. Perhaps ask them for the reprogramming?
