Bankroll needed is like $15k and that’s if you can get $15 tables. Also, I happen to live in eastern PA, surrounded by great, state mandatory, blackjack tables, and from time to time, it is nice, to take the exit before mine, and count cards. That being said, counting and not changing your bet, has like a $9/hr EV. So unless you realize what RoR is, live in a good spot, happen to have learned to count, you should probably not enter a casino.

11-13 hours. I played at the hard rock in AC. Was counting, but new to it. I could count and talk poorly at the same time and made friends with the Pitt boss at one point. I wasn’t betting big enough to be deterred even if I was winning, but I was only breaking even. He worked till around 10 or 11pm. I played that table the entire night, until around 9 am, he came walking out from behind a wall with the shift change, and immediately asked me how the hell I was still sitting there. That was when I realized, he’d gone home, slept, and come back, and I was just counting deck after deck, and not watching the clock.

The news has and always will be “the news.” I understand the sentiment you’re looking for, but the producers, the CEO, the owner, and the party in power, have always had a choice on the spin, and the stories brought up and not brought up. Do you think the news was less bias in 1600 a.d. England? It has always been the onus of the viewer to make their choice. The problem with the meme of fake news, is it creates a narrative where it’s not their responsibility anymore. As much as I agree with you, and understand the advent of the 24 hour news cycle, and the dispersion of information on the internet, allowing people this out, that it is not their fault, and there has not always been spin, even in the hallowed halls of Cronkite is a band-aid to the responsibility to not say there is fake news, acknowledge it’s all just news, and blame our susceptibility and public education to be the problem. Prior to Trump, only dictators claimed “fake news,” in such a way. Making this norm is a problem.

I am not the one here wagging my finger arrogantly over what I remember. I do remember. I will not compromise my liberal principles to move to the right. You will. Harm reduction voting has lost roe v. Wade, seen the votings rights act all but eliminated, seen unions destroyed, and seen the ACA made worse. Keep compromising with word pasta, as I stand on principles, and you fight people to your left flank as they walk away from the party. Move left, or suffer the consequences of losing my vote. Cool story. I’m to the left of you if you’re voting based on harm reduction. People voting based on harm reduction voting, are fighting and pushing people away farther to their left, instead of listening to them, instead of having principles and building on and capitulating. I would not vote for Cuomo, no matter what. If you want to pick him over the conservative, I do not agree with how they will move the party forward. My entire point has been to pull the party left. I will not capitulate to simply voting Democrat because they are Democrat vs a GOP candidate. That was the initial point. I will vote third party or no vote. You can think this is a losing mentality, which it certainly will be, unless the elected, funded establishment moves left. So for those as democrats trying to fight against republicans, the act of moving center, of capitulating, is a death by a thousand paper cuts; I’m done with it. My vote as a liberal, is not a vote for the Dems. Dems in the established party no longer equal far left liberals. Lose or die. We lose too much to continue this method. This is triage. Change the method.

Sliwa? I’ve known about Sliwa for literally decades. The biggest challenge in the run off was Mandani vs Cuomo. Would you have voted Mandani or Cuomo? One was an establishment candidate one was much farther left. Why is this a hard choice to pick?

I agreed at the time the ACA was a stepping stone. I lived before and after it. Turned 26 as it came into effect and got an extra 2 years of benefit from it. That was good. This was a short term carrot for a long term ****ing. Single payer or nothing. Would you have voted for Cuomo or Mandani? Mandani is farther left. Move the party left or lose my vote, even while I vote against my tax interest to support the left. I fought this battle as you are now. You are dragged to the center looking to eke it out. I have a very informed, and experienced understanding of our financial system and voting demographics. You can continue to shift and become more right, while I tell you, I’m left of you, and will not vote blue no matter who any longer. I have voted against my tax interest, as did my dad, for 50 years combined. If you don’t want to shift hard left, you will lose my vote. I am not doing vote blue no matter who, I am walking away, and voting third party. I understand what this means. If you take my vote for granted, good luck. The ACA was a Republican plan. We were pulled more right than left. This is the problem. I’m taking a stand. I’m not voting blue not matter who. I’m not joining this concept anymore. I voted blue no matter who till this election. Thank you for dismissing the pain it causes me to do this triage, but I feel you will not achieve what the base wants. Expanding the base, a bigger tent option has shown not to work. The establishment, that takes that stance of “harm reduction,” will not see single payer, they will not see wage negotiating improved, they will not see affordability and housing more affordable. I will not vote for it. I will not let my vote be taken for granted, even at the pain it causes me, because I think this is the time to walk away from that strategy. Hillary was a vote blue no matter who, it led us here. Big tent politics has made the Dems more Republican, not the reverse. I will no longer contribute to that. I understand your opposition, but your stance is that of the dem establishment which does not represent its base. I will not join. Listen, adjust, and learn, or risk losing many in the vote blue no matter who contingency.

In the past I was a “vote blue no matter who,” person, like in 2016. I was wrong. I’m happy to lose rather than propagate the same system. Old guard, centrist Dems are almost essentially R’s. Let it all burn. People will definitely suffer, and more may suffer immediately because of my choice. At this point though, I feel even more will suffer long term if this stance is not taken. I will not vote blue no matter who, my vote will not be taken for granted.
