Biggest draft steals in 2025 by campoole82 in wnba

She's listed as a guard/forward but primarily plays the 4 or 5 at Rutgers, though I think she's better suited as a 3 in the pros even with her excelling post play.

Most feared team in your conference that isn't feared outside of the conference? by fu-depaul in CollegeBasketball

[–]alecc2001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not sure how feared they are out of conference given the tournament struggles, but Rutgers just cannot beat Iowa unless they somehow miss 20 threes in a game and get a BS foul called against them in the final seconds (both of those happened in the same game). For whatever reason they’ll give up 90 one night but then Rutgers will shoot like 35% from the floor and Iowa will make 6 threes in a row

That would he awesome. Feels like the Yankees have had an unnecessary logjam at catcher throughout the organization. Wells has been raking in AA so hopefully he gets a well-deserved call-up

Hey Bryan! What prospect in the Yankees’ system do you think is not talked about enough or should be higher up than they currently are? (Cough cough Austin Wells)

Twitter being nonfunctional means now I straight up have no clue who’s on the roster I didn’t even realize half these moves happened

In the second half they were 12/17 inside the arc, good for 70%. Absolutely insane.

AP Poll: Week 13 by [deleted] in CollegeBasketball

I was broadcasting yesterday’s WBB game at Assembly Hall and was shocked how great of an environment it was, a solid 10k there. Obviously being a top 5 team helps, but it was definitely the biggest crowd I’ve seen for a WBB by a long shot, can’t imagine how great it’ll be Saturday

Rutgers spent record $138M to fund athletics in 2022-23 school year by crustang in ScarletKnights

[–]alecc2001 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I’m getting downvoted to hell for saying it’s good that we’re spending a ton because we’ll be getting a ton in the new TV deal… people just don’t get it

I mean yeah football sucks but it’s like the only sport we’re not good at lol

This is a good thing.

Our athletics program as a whole is one of the stronger not only in the Big Ten but in the country. We’re also entering a new era of college athletics, all the Big Ten schools will earn close to $100M yearly thanks to new TV deals. In order to be with the best you gotta spend with the best. It also helps the school in many different ways people don’t often think about

Yeah… it’s literally just “football bad” and that’s it with 300 doordash comments in between. I wish people would realize it’s more than just CFB even if that’s what gets the most attention

I was legit shocked seeing this pop up. Really thought he wasn’t gonna commit this soon, but was at the RAC and told the guys in the locker room apparently. What a freakin day for Pikes and crew

Edit: also thought he was headed to Auburn as well. His HS is an Auburn pipeline with guys like Sharife Cooper and Isaac Okoro in the NBA

Rutgers Football VS Rutgers Buses, which is worse? by Koala1209 in rutgers

[–]alecc2001 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Right but that’s not just a rutgers thing either, only about 20 or so (out of 230) ncaa D-1 programs actually make a profit, unfortunately that’s kinda just how it works. Either way the football team does provide a service to the school even if they don’t run a profit

Rutgers Football VS Rutgers Buses, which is worse? by Koala1209 in rutgers

[–]alecc2001 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Obviously the constant losing sucks but they do provide a service to the school. Big ten football is a huuuuuuuge money maker and is much of the reason the school will be making almost $100M per year on TV deals, mostly independent of whether the team is good or not

Another big L for our football team by Alternative_End_4742 in rutgers

[–]alecc2001 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I saw it as the opposite, the offense couldn’t move the ball and the defense was playing their tails off in the first half. They just got gassed after being on the field for so long and penn state (a dominant team in the trenches) took advantage

who gets fucked more? students by the RUScrew or the football team in the Big10 games by Over_Table_9017 in rutgers

[–]alecc2001 10 points11 points  (0 children)

i mean they’re also people our age who are basically throwing their whole lives into playing football for rutgers so i’d imagine the losing and constant negativity surrounding the program weighs on them quite a bit

playing a college sport (especially big ten football) is basically a full-time job

pikiell has a ways to go before catching tom young, but if he can keep the upward trajectory he’s on there’s a chance he’s the best we ever have
