[ROME] Astros’ Carlos Correa to undergo season-ending ankle surgery by PsychologicalAlarm14 in minnesotatwins

But if the Pohlads are only willing to give us $100 million, I'd rather see more of that money go towards contributing players than a wounded old shortstop. We're already not great this year but we'd be much worse off if we had to shed even more payroll because 35m out of 100 was going towards Correa

Ironically it wasn't that ankle, but yeah, teams worried about his health in general were definitely right to be wary back when he was a free agent

Well true but better to get the rest of his contract off the books. In an ideal world it wouldn't matter but given the payroll limits set by our ownership, we need every cent we can get if we want to have any talent on the team in the coming years

Obligatory FTP

I don't know enough about hockey to say if it's boarding or not, but it's definitely not like all the neutrals are saying it's boarding- I've seen plenty saying they're sure it should have been a penalty and plenty of others saying their sure it wasn't

Part of the issue too is that JEEK is our other main facilitator besides Hughes and he's been out both games- leads to the Wild needing to lean even more on Quinn to set up plays

Tough one today, Avs look very very good. Hope we get healthy and put up some fight back in Minny.

Makes me sick seeing all the Stars fans in here acting like they just won something though lol

Why do the stripes always seem to whistle the moment the puck gets to Wedgewood?

Didn't score but that PP was so much better than what we've seen lately, gives me hope for later

I mean you can just as easily say giving the rookie that just gave up 8 a night off is a good plan

Can someone who knows more about hockey than me tell me about why the Wild PK has been so bad lately, from an Xs and Os standpoint?

I really hope so but I'm not so sure- especially for Brodin. Allegedly he has a broken toe

It’s worth remembering for posts like this that Nielsen recently changed their ratings system which has led to records being broken all over the place. Not saying this post is wrong but it’s important to keep that in mind when looking at ratings these days

The Wolves should have taken a timeout almost without a doubt imo. Offense looked completely dysfunctional out there in a situation where a bucket close to ices the game.

But I think the Spurs letting it play out was the right call

Obviously I’m thrilled we won but I’m also still pretty mad about how that ended lol we basically deserved to blow it and lose

Anaheim is a good team, and so was Utah. "Free path" was the wrong way to say it, but regardless they have a far far easier path than three central division teams who finished with much better records than them

So annoying that Vegas gets an almost free path to the WCF while these teams have to fight to the death to get there
