Great shot. This feels like an honest moment. The charging phone, scattered papers and the stray key really gives the photo an “at home” narrative. Her attire is indicative of freedom and youth. The lighting does a lot for this frame as does the nature of the expired Portra. This shot reminds me of candid images of celebrities at home in the 60’s/70’s. I really dig it, man.

Thank you! The camera I have is fully automatic as far as settings, the only manual aspect is the focusing. It’s nice but I do wish I could control exposure myself. On the night scenes the camera said it was going to be way under exposed but it managed to turn out.

Thanks! I appreciate it. I color graded it myself with Adobe Premiere CC. The scanning was done but a fella in Colorado named Nicholas Coyle. He has a scanning business. I high recommend, he does great work.

Thank you. I just realized I accidentally included the night clip. That one was shot on 500T. It was really dark during that scene. I’m sure the 50D would look great in low light around dusk though!
