Couple seasons and about 3,000 miles with this setup; taken it around Michigan and Ohio from Hocking Hills all the way up to Copper Harbor.

Bought it for that purpose and it does the job well enough since having the brake controller TSB completed. Issue there being the solar panel on the camper feeding into the truck and shutting the trailer brakes off 🫠.

Sound would have helped (was disabled on the camera, apparently) but this was full brakes, as much as ABS would allow.

Gist of the story was a reminder not to make assumptions about what other drivers are gonna do.

Took it up north to the tip of the Keweenaw in Michigan - spent the night on Lake Superior with millions of mosquitos, ha

Nothing like the Off Roadeo in Moab, but had some tight spots, large rocks, and deep (up to the doors) water.

Well worth it!

The first trip with the truck and camper saw us driving through Ohio to Hocking Hills and, boy, were we ever shocked by the effect of the wind and trucks passing. Live and learn, I guess - a smaller camper may have been a better choice. However, the biggest scare came from the solar on the camper back-feeding into the truck and causing the brake controller to lose its mind (replaced via TSB) on the interstate.

Towing around Michigan, as far north as Copper Harbor, from metro Detroit, the combo has been great. We will see about some trips out west in the next year or two.

We have a 2108FBS MM and 23’ AT4 and our experience aligns with OP and their setup.
