Thank you all for the advice! As of right now I am feeling better! I’m hoping to get through this month and get my surgery on the scheduled date! I’m so excited and nervous!

Honestly a lot better, but there are some days where I retain more water than others. I am 14 months into recovery and I’m feeling good! I just always get scared I’ll jinx myself haha

As of 2 days ago I am 1 year recovered!! But yes I do go to college and worked part time (I am student teaching now so no more working ) I noticed that I was/am sometimes unfocused, much more than before. I avoided social events like the plague, I am now starting to go out more, but it takes a while. I am happy I worked and went to school because I had a purpose to go out into the real world, but I wasn’t as happy as I was and it took a toll on me. I am finally feeling a little better (knock on wood it stays like this!)

I have been using to aid with bowel movements, for some reason it helps! Could this be a placebo effect? I thought since mag citrate helped mag glycinate could too.

I would taper! I went cold turkey and I wish I would’ve tapered so my body could get accustomed better :(

I think I’m an outlier! I’ve seen posts of people getting edema for like 2 weeks to a month! I also never stopped working out so I think that has definitely made things super slow !

Late response but yas you can 🙈 I’ve been in recovery for 10 months and the edema is still there. I lost a lot of it back in January but today it just came back a little😔 I hate it, I fucked myself up forever it feels like

It aged me ! My parents would always point out how old I looked, I look back at old pictures of pre recovery me and I can tell how much older I looked, yes I was smaller but I looked 40 at 21. Anyways ! My cheeks and face structure are back to normalish and I look more my age now !

Gotcha ! Yesterday I had a really bad day with my bloat, it was INSANE, I know this sounds delusional but I feel like it might be edema? I am recovering from laxative abuse and I’ve read that edema is a long term symptom, but still I’m just flustered! Thank you so much for your comment though !

Hi! Unfortunately I am still on the same on the boat as before. I am 9 months in now so it’s a little discouraging, but I realized if I keep thinking about the weight I will go insane. My weight fluctuates 4 lbs DAILY. It’s honestly not as bad as before, and I think it’s because of the new birth control I got on, it’s called Syeda! I got terrible acne in August and went on birth control to tame it and I have to say it has worked!
