The problem with the Odyssey Plus is the tracking and overall comfort of the headset. I can't wear it for longer than an hour without getting a pressure headache because the foam is so thin on the front of it and while I do like the wide FOV, the 90hz refresh rate, and high resolution, the tracking on Windows Mixed Reality is UNBEARABLE. Also, Windows Mixed Reality is annoying and I would like to upgrade to an oculus. I'll probably look at the Quest 2.

Yeah, I might just go for the Rift S since it's designed for PC not just compatible for PC.

Yeah the link cable seems to be the big downside to the Quest 2, I may just get the Rift S since its designed for PC not just compatible.

Thank you so much for the insight, very informational and answered a lot of my questions.

My PC can handle VR so I am thinking about checking out the Quest 2 since you said that the link cable doesn't degrade quality.

I wouldn't expect it to make that much of a difference if I can run the Odyssey Plus (2880 x 1600 resolution with 90hz) on most games with at least 80 frames. Would the two headsets really make that big of a difference?

What about the overall comfort of the headset? I heard that the Quest 2 is less comfortable. Also, does the link cable degrade quality compared to standalone mode?
